This week at preschool, we began by exploring different professions! We played a fun matching game where we paired uniforms with the correct jobs — the children loved taking part, and happily shared all about what their parents do for work while they played.
At Forest School, we had a wonderful time toasting marshmallows around the campfire… and the best part? We got to eat them too! We snuggled up and listened to some lovely stories while we enjoyed our tasty treat.
On Wednesday, a group of our children walked to Grasshoppers Rugby Club to take part in a tag rugby session. It was a huge success — everyone had such a brilliant time, and they’re already asking when we can go back! After all that running around, we settled down to read stories in our brand-new outdoor reading area.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ❤️

Next week we will be focusing on getting ready for school. We have designed a classroom role play area. If anyone has any spare uniform they could donate we would be extremely grateful!

This week in the seeds room has been exciting and enjoyable! We kicked off the week by celebrating World Dinosaur Day with a dinosaur-themed tuff tray activity, filled with cocoa powder, gloop, and oats, and lots of different dinosaurs for the children to discover. Next, we explored a digger tuff tray containing brown rice, slime, and various diggers, which the children loved using. We also got creative by planting our own sunflowers. To do this, we set up a sunflower tuff tray with soil, different plant pots, spades for scooping the soil, and sunflower seeds. Additionally, the children made their own watermelons using paper plates, red paint, and black paint. To wrap up the week, we explored an ice cube tuff tray with various fruits frozen into ice cubes, along with some fresh bananas to try. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the different textures. We hope everyone has a fun-filled weekend! 🍉🦖

This week in preschool, we have thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful sunny weather and made the most of the opportunity to spend time outdoors. The children enjoyed a walk to Lidl, followed by a delicious lolly while relaxing on the field. They then spent time playing together, developing friendships and enjoying each other’s company in the sunshine.
The children were also very excited to welcome our caterpillars into preschool. We are looking forward to observing their life cycle over the coming weeks and watching their transformation into butterflies. 🦋
In addition, the children have had great fun exploring our new climbing frame and slide. They demonstrated excellent turn-taking skills and played cooperatively throughout. We have also continued to enjoy eating our meals and snacks outdoors whenever possible, making the most of the lovely weather. 🌞❤️

This week in the seeds room, we had lots of fun! We visited the older children's room and played in the garden with water and building towers together. We explored different textures by playing with blue rice and sea animals. We also enjoyed playing with jelly and sea animals, and even had a little taste of the jelly. We have also been painting our feet orange too make starfish footprints. To end the week, we enjoyed ice lollies for our snack, played in the sunshine, and painted with our fingers and hands in different shades of blue, making marks on the paper and adding blue tissue paper. We hope you all have a lovely weekend ☀️🐳

Pre-School have had a fun-filled week and enjoyed taking part in lots of exciting activities!
We started the week by making delicious healthy fruit kebabs. The children were able to choose from a range of different fruits to place on their kebab sticks, and they really enjoyed making their own choices. Best of all, they got to eat them afterwards!
For Numeracy Day, the children took part in a fun Tuff Tray activity where they used tweezers to match the correct number of pom-poms to the numbers displayed on the tray. They also enjoyed playing quantity matching games and showed fantastic number knowledge throughout.
As the weather started to warm up, we made the most of the sunshine by setting up a water tray with lily pads, frogs, and a little water fountain. The children had lots of fun creating their own imaginative scenarios and exploring through play.
To end the week, one of our Pre-Schoolers returned from a holiday to Disneyland and was very excited to share with his friends that Buzz Lightyear had signed his cap — one very happy little boy indeed!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and enjoy the beautiful sunshine 🌞

This week in the seeds room, we had another exciting and busy week. We kicked things off by playing in an ice cream tuff tray filled with colourful shaving foam, ice cream cones, bowls, spoons, and sprinkles. To celebrate World Bee Day, the children painted their hands and feet with yellow paint to make bee marks on paper. We also celebrated Number Day by colouring in different numbers and playing with numbers in the blue water, including a fun game with the five little ducks. The children enjoyed a Teddy Bears' Picnic, bringing in their own teddies where we enjoyed a variety of yummy foods, and they coloured in different teddy bear pictures. For World Cultural Day, we read books to celebrate diversity. We wrapped up the week by celebrating World Elmer Day, creating Elmer the Elephant from different coloured tissue paper, and took advantage of the sunny weather with some water play. We hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend ☀️☀️
