I took this short video on the 30th September 2018 on an intertidal mud/sand flat in the Solent. It shows an Arcuatula senhousia (Asian date mussel) actively pumping, as evidenced by the movement of sand grains on the surface of the water.

First evidence of the poorly ribbed cockle, Acanthocardia paucicostata (G. B. Sowerby II, 1834) in UK waters. The specimen was found in the intertidal mid-low shore area of a site in the Solent, in July 2016.
