Our School Council representatives truly did us proud at the CPoPS event on Friday at Portsmouth University, a day dedicated to celebrating the power of student voice. They threw themselves into every activity with enthusiasm, confidence and maturity, representing our school with real distinction.

Miss Osborne couldn’t have been more impressed — not only with how thoughtfully they contributed, but also with how impeccably they behaved throughout the day. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to collaborate with pupils from other schools, share ideas, and showcase the leadership qualities they’ve been developing all year.

A huge well done to each of them for being such brilliant ambassadors. They really showed what our school community is all about.

The children have been having a fantastic time on their residential trip to Avon Tyrrell. From kayaking on the lake to tackling the assault course and braving the high ropes, they’ve thrown themselves into every challenge with huge smiles. What an adventure they’re having 🌲🛶⛺

It's Year 6 residential and activities week!

The children arrived safely at Avon Tyrrell this morning, unpacked into their tents, had lunch and are now enjoying their first of many activities.

The children who are staying closer to home this week have enjoyed a day at Canoe lake.

Here's hoping for plenty of sunshine and blue skies for everyone to have a well earned week of fun!

🎸🎤🎼🎧✨Thank you to the amazing Crystal Tides who came to visit the children at Meon Infant School yesterday to kick of . the musicians played some of their music, answered lots of questions and talked about life as a musician. This was an inspiring visit which showed the children that the Arts is more than drawing and painting.
The children at Moorings Way were also able to join the session online from their classrooms, making this a true experience. 🎸🎤🎼🎧✨

We’re thrilled to kick off our Annual Arts Week — a full week dedicated to creativity, exploration, and imagination. 🎨✨
Our children will be diving into the Arts in all sorts of inspiring ways and creating their very own masterpieces.

Parents are warmly invited to come and view the artwork and projects on Friday 12th June from 1:30pm.
Once the open afternoon has finished, you’re welcome to take your children home early.

🥗✨ Year 3 turned into salad detectives! They explored, researched and taste‑tested current salad products as part of their DT learning. So many curious questions, creative ideas and crunchy discoveries!

🌟 Little Thinkers nursery team raise funds for extraordinary cause. 🌟

Our amazing team from Little Thinkers recently laced up their trainers and took on the Pretty Muddy® 5k, raising over £900 for Cancer Research U.K.

They took on the challenge in honour of a brave, young girl connected to our nursery, whose strength and smile throughout treatment inspired everyone involved. They climbed and scrambled their way through obstacles, cheering each other on to support such an important cause so close to our hearts at Meon Way Federation.

💛 Thanks to the generosity of parents, families and our community, this phenomenal effort not only funds lifesaving research, but demonstrates to our young people about the importance of kindness and supporting each other.

We’re so proud of the Little Thinkers team for showing our children what it truly means to be their best self.

School Nurses' role is to support the health and well being of school age children by promoting good health to enable children to reach their full potential. 🏆 We’re so proud of Eden, Felix and Giovanni, who stormed to victory in The Big Quiz 2026 for Meon Junior School, achieving an outstanding 29 out of 30 in the grand final!

The Big Quiz is an annual initiative delivered by the Thinking Schools Academy Trust, designed to develop young people’s confidence, memory and teamwork skills.

Through a metacognitive approach, our pupils progressed through a qualifying round and a semi-final after we found out we were in the top four schools for memory trust-wide!

Eden, Felix and Giovanni stormed the final with an almost perfect score to take the trophy – showing incredible determination and self-belief to remember so much information.

A huge well done to everyone who represented Meon Junior School and a special shoutout to our winning pupils for securing the victory.
