🐿️ An unexpected guest joined us on our wellbeing walk!
⁣
⁣
While enjoying some fresh air and a gentle walk around Victoria Park, we were joined by a curious squirrel who seemed very interested in what we were up to. He even stopped for a photo opportunity before carrying on with his busy day!
⁣
Sometimes it's the little moments, a friendly chat, some fresh air, or an unexpected wildlife encounter, that can make all the difference to our wellbeing.
⁣
Have you spotted any furry friends on your walks recently? πŸΏοΈπŸ‚
⁣
🌟 If you, or someone you know, could benefit from some support to reconnect with the community, build confidence, and achieve personal goals, we'd love to hear from you.

We've worked really hard this year expanding our allotment outcomes to include produce for cookery! Thank you to our amazing allotment community for growing all of this beautiful veg! It includes, rhubarb, butternut squash, pumpkins and leeks...delicious!

⁣
We talk a lot about community... but what does community actually mean to you?
⁣
For some people, it might be:
🚢 A walk around the block
πŸ›’ Getting to the shops independently
β˜• Meeting a friend for a coffee
🌱 Spending time at a gardening group
🎨 Joining a craft session
πŸ• A chat with familiar faces while out walking the dog
⁣
The truth is, community looks different for everyone.
⁣
So here's our challenge:
⁣
⁣
πŸ“· Show or tell us what community means to you!
⁣
Leave a comment below, or even better, share a photo of what your idea of community looks like.

We've got the ball rolling with our sunset photo. For me, community isn't a place, it's the people who make moments like this worth sharing. πŸŒ…πŸ’›
⁣
We can't wait to see your photos and hear your stories ❀️
⁣
🌟 And if you, or someone you know, could benefit from some support to reconnect with their idea of community, build confidence, and achieve personal goals, we'd love to hear from you.

🍁 Our wonderful Milton Foreshore Walk happens every Sunday, meeting at the Good Companion pub for a social stroll over to the foreshore, and back to the Good Companion Pub for chat and socialising.

Our walk leader Liz is there every Sunday for a 2pm start, and would love to meet you there! You can call or email us on 02392 841762 or [email protected] for any questions. Autumn is the perfect time to wrap up and get outside in nature.

For more information on our walks, please see the Ramblers website for pictures and further details https://www.ramblers.org.uk/go-walking/wellbeing-walks

πŸ‘£ One of our Community Connectors often describes our role as being "a little shadow", walking alongside people for a short time as they build the confidence to move forward independently.
⁣
⁣
β˜€οΈ Today, this silhouette really brought that description to life.
⁣
⁣
We supported a client to take another step towards a goal that means a lot to them: Being able to get to Costa independently. It might sound like a small thing, but every step forward represents growing confidence, strength and independence πŸ’™
⁣
⁣
🚢 Sometimes all it takes is a little support, encouragement, and someone alongside you.
⁣
⁣
🌟 If you, or someone you know, could benefit from a "little shadow" helping them reconnect with their community and achieve their goals, we'd love to hear from you.
