Lunch box and meal ideas for you and your little ones
This week is healthy eating week , the children have been taking part in a variety of activities around healthy eating, food tasting and cooking. We will be sharing these with you and some fun tips for lunch box ideas and cooking you can do with your children at home.

Change of plan for collection for the Summer Fayre...
School Summer Fayre – this Friday (tomorrow) from 2pm – all children and families are welcome to attend.
Entrance to the fayre will be via the schools reception.
All nursery sessions will run as normal, however if your child attends the afternoon session they are more than welcome to go and enjoy the fayre and not attend nursery or alternatively we will be opening our gate from 1:45-2pm for any early collections.

Some helpful tips for those families who have little ones starting school in September

Now that summer has hopefully arrived and the weather just keeps getting nicer and nicer, we just wanted to remind you of some key ways to keep your little ones safe in the sun ☀️
Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday Monday

Nursery is now closed for half term, we hope the weather stays nice and you all have a lovely week
We look forward to welcoming you back from Monday 5th June

This week Hartland Point have hosted keygroup stay and plays, the children and parents were able to make a fruit skewer rocket together to end this half terms learning around space, we hope you all had as much fun as we did?
As always thank you to all those parents who were able to join us, the children loved having you in nursery with them!

We hope you all have a great bank holiday however you choose to spend it and we look forward to seeing you back at nursery on Tuesday.
The children have loved taking part in lots of royal and British activities this week such as making a variety of scones, making our own crown for the King and making coronation chicken/quorn sandwiches

We all had lots of fun and excitement at the coronation party today the highlights of which was a special performance from Magic Charlie and Magic Nikki, Icecream from Dan’s Delights Icecream van and finally a visit from the King himself.
As always thank you to each and everyone of you for your support in offering our children amazing experiences like today, more pictures to follow

Just a reminder that Thursday is our Coronation Party 👑 🤴🏼 🇬🇧

Please see below for this terms menu

Just a reminder to all of our parents that nursery will be closed on Monday due to the bank holiday, we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday

For the next half term our artist 👨🎨 will be Vincent Van Gough for his link to space in the form of his painting ‘the starry night’ 🌌

Hartland Point enjoyed finishing their learning of The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 and it’s artist Eric Carle 👨🎨 by making cherry pie 🥧 🍒 which they had for snack with watermelon 🍉
The children (and staff) really enjoyed learning about this and making so many things the caterpillar ate in the book 📖

When the children return to nursery after the holiday our theme across the nursery will be “What’s out there” 🌏🚀👩🚀this will give the children lots of opportunity to learn about space 🌌 and planets 🪐as well as take part in lots of fun experiments 🧪
As well as this theme we also take the children's interests into account when planning activities for them as well as the festivals and celebrations taking place this half term such as Ramadan 🌙⭐️ and Easter 🐣

🌈 In a world where you can be anything be kind 🌈

The children enjoyed a ‘roarsome’ surprise visitor at school today: Rocky the dinosaur and his baby

Just a reminder that today is our last day before the Easter holidays as Thursday and Friday are inset days so nursery will be closed to all children.
Nursery will reopen on Monday 17th April

Ever find yoursef not sure what song your child is singing or they keep asking for a song you don’t know? BBC schools radio is such a great tool and resource which we use in nursery when singing with the children and can help you if you don’t know what your child wants to sing
https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/eyfs-early-years/z6bgnrd
Nursery rhymes and singing plays such a key role in your child’s day at nursery.

🐛 tasted pickles, Swiss cheese, salami and sausages/vegetarian sausages

We’ve all had a great world book day 🌎 📚

Our artist for this half term is Eric Carl’s this ties in really well with world book day due to the fact that as well as being an artist he is also an author. The children will be making their own pictures inspired by him as well as reading his most famous book, the very hungry caterpillar 🐛

Nursery will be celebrating world book day along with the school on Friday 3rd March!
Children are welcome to come dressed as their favourite book character. This does not have to be a costly even as some of the best costumes are homemade, attached is a list of costumes which use ordinary clothes or outfits you already have
We look forward to seeing which characters you choose

Photos from Startpoints stay and play before half term, thank you again to everyone who came

This Friday (24th) alongside the school we are raising money for the Turkey and Syria appeal – 50p donation ‘Dress in whatever you like day!’ You can come in anything you would like for the day – fancy dress, dress up – dress down even in your PJ’s!
