📍 KICKBOXING: 2nd, 6th & 8th October

Everyone is eligible to grade!

Coach Stewart will be talking through everything in class from today onwards, so listen up, train hard and get ready!

PASS YOUR GRADING = CERTIFICATE + NEW BELT
Wear it with pride in class or display it at home!

Higher grades: Coach Stewart will confirm the fee in class.

WHAT A NIGHT FOR PAUL GRAY! 🥊

Tonight at the North Coast Collision, Paul put on an incredible performance and secured win with a 3rd round KO! 🏆👊

After a couple of years of graft, dedication, hard sessions and putting the work in when nobody else sees it, tonight it all came together.

Paul has never been afraid of a challenge. He’s got some serious nerve, having stepped into a couple of fights at the last minute and taken on whatever was put in front of him. But when he gets the time to properly prepare… this is what happens!

Tonight wasn’t just a win. It was a reward for all the hard work, sacrifice and belief that has gone into getting here.

And behind every fighter who reaches a moment like this, is a coach who has put his heart, time and belief into seeing Paul succeed. Stewart is immensely proud tonight ❤️

Paul, you absolutely deserved this one. You’ve stuck at it, kept turning up, kept learning and kept pushing yourself forward. Tonight you showed everyone what happens when talent meets hard work, patience and determination.

3 rounds. 1 KO. 1 hell of a statement.

🔥 What an EMPOWERED weekend! 🔥

On Saturday 25th July, we had the privilege of taking 5 of our members to train at an incredible seminar with former World Champion and 2x European Muay Thai Champion Damien Trainor.

Widely regarded as one of the UK’s finest Muay Thai fighters, Damien has competed at the highest professional level all over the world. The session was packed with elite-level techniques, invaluable knowledge, and plenty of tricks of the trade that our team have already started to utilise in training.

Experiences like these are what it’s all about—constantly learning, improving, and surrounding ourselves with the very best to help our members grow.

And as if that wasn’t enough, our Head Coach also celebrated his baby girl’s 1st birthday on the very same day! 🎂❤️

A weekend of world-class training, family celebrations, & making memories.

That’s what being part of Empower Martial Arts is all about. 👊💙

☀️ School’s out… but the learning doesn’t have to stop! 🥋

At Empower, we’re OPEN ALL SUMMER with kids’ classes running 4 days a week!

Summer is all about having fun, but keeping just one positive routine each week can make a huge difference.

Martial arts gives children the chance to:
🔥 Burn off all that summer energy in a positive way.
💙 Build confidence and resilience.
🧠 Improve focus and concentration.
👏 Develop discipline, respect, and self-control.
🤝 Stay connected with friends and our amazing Empower family.

One of the biggest challenges for children after the summer holidays is getting back into routines. By continuing their martial arts training throughout the break, they’re still practising listening skills, following instructions, concentrating, and staying disciplined—all of which help make the return to school in September much smoother.

While others are starting from scratch, your child can head back to school feeling confident, focused, and ready to succeed.

So don’t let the summer slide undo all the fantastic progress they’ve made this year.

Hi everyone ☀️

After consideration of our training session on Tuesday, and with the unusually high temperatures continuing this evening, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the gym tonight.

Unfortunately, with no air conditioning in the gym, we feel it’s the right decision for the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our members and coaches.

We know many of you were looking forward to training, and we appreciate your understanding and support.

Please stay cool, keep hydrated, and take care in the heat. We look forward to seeing you all back in the gym SATURDAY MORNING! 🥊💪

Make sure to remember your water bottles tonight for class 💦💦 It’s a warm day perfect for a good training session for the kids and adults!!

Every boxing coach has lived through this moment:

Coach: “Breathe out when you punch.”

New boxer: “Got it.”

Throws jab

“HHHAAAAAAUUUUGGGHHH.”

Coach: “No, not like you’re giving birth to a washing machine.”

Next attempt:

“TSSSSSSSSSSSS.”

Coach: “Why are you a punctured bicycle tire?”

Next attempt:

“KIAAAAAAA!”

Coach: “Are you punching or summoning a dragon?”

For the first few sessions, every beginner sounds like they’re auditioning for a low-budget martial arts movie.

Meanwhile the coach is standing there wondering how a simple exhale turned into a zoo of angry geese, leaking air compressors, and medieval battle cries.

Then one day it finally clicks.

Sharp punch.

“Tss.”

Coach: “There it is.”

The funniest part is that every beginner thinks they’re the first person to make weird noises, while every coach has heard the exact same collection of dinosaur sounds hundreds of times. 😆
