The children at Tsweleni Village were treated to a Christmas party, thanks to the fundraising efforts of a particular student and staff members at Victoria Education Centre,Poole,🇬🇧 Through selling items at school he has been able to raise money to help feed and progress the pre- school ,thousands of miles away from his own home.. At Christmas he had a special request that the children enjoy a lovely party with some treats.
What an inspiration!

In 2017 we were involved in a beach clean up at Sinangwana Beach to collect nurdles that had washed ashore after a shipping container event .
Imagine my surprise to see these nurdles on a beach in Dorset in the South West of England. Can they be from the same event? 🤔🤔🤔and if so it provides a reminder about so much with regard to the impact of plastics on environments.

Toilets don't ordinarily excite people😅😅😅right? But for our village where pit toilets can be death traps, we are waiting with excited, bated breath for Jotha Couriers from Port St Johns to make the long journey from Grandesigns in Cape Town with our loo's. Thank you to Bradley Grantham and his team at Grandesigns for the design and construction of the toilets, to Jotha for their superb service in arranging the transport and to Goldman Sachs Gives for funding the transportation. More updates to follow when they arrive in the village

Teacher Ntombifikile who has been volunteering at our school for several years has sadly had a tragedy at home. But in true style she says, " our lives are more important. We are so grateful that we woke up before the fire consumed us. We can always replace things" If you have any kitchen items or cash to help teacher start to get her family kitchen together again, it would be appreciated. Everything was burnt in a fire this week. Please message me for details of cash or material donations you can make . 0729002674. We appreciate teacher and all the work she does for our kids

They say: " You only miss the water when the well runs dry." Our Tsweleni community is so pleased for the borehole drilling and subsequent tap/ pump that is being put in the village. I'm not sure of the exact company or organisation that enabled it to happen. But from all of us ,we say "thank you" and " bless you"

There are angels that walk amongst us. Our Friends from North West took time out from their Port St Johns to Coffee Bay hike to deliver much appreciated goodies and school equipment to our school. Thanks so much Wagpos School in Brits. It's heartwarming to hear that there are lots of people that are cheering us on. Enjoy the next few days of walking 🚶♂️
