Throughout the week, to celebrate World Ocean Day, the children have immersed themselves in a range of exciting ocean-themed art and science activities.

This has developed their understanding of the importance of protecting our oceans and the creatures that call them home. 🐠🌊

Our little Nutkins enjoyed a wonderful time yesterday at their Teddy Bears’ Picnic! 🧸🧺 There were plenty of smiles, tasty treats, and special moments shared!

Why does it matter that Yarrells remains a standalone, family-owned school? In a landscape where many independent schools are merging or joining larger groups, we think the answer is simple: every single decision we make is made for the children in front of us, not a board of trustees elsewhere.

Congratulations to all of our pupils who took part in the National Swimming Finals this weekend! Competing at the London Aquatics Centre was a fantastic experience, and we are delighted to have finished in the Top 10 schools in the UK. Our relay team also achieved an incredible 14-second improvement on their qualifying time - an outstanding accomplishment!
We are immensely proud of every swimmer for their dedication, determination and sportsmanship.
Thank you to Mr Fisk for supporting and accompanying the pupils throughout the event, and to for organising such a fantastic day! 🏊‍♂️🏅

A highlight of this week was our Years 3–6 Tennis Finals, which delivered exciting matches and outstanding displays of character. Tennis is a sport that teaches resilience, perseverance and the ability to learn from setbacks, and our players demonstrated these qualities throughout the tournament. Most impressive was the kindness and sportsmanship shown by all competitors, with friends and opponents offering encouragement, comfort and support when disappointment arose. We are incredibly proud of the camaraderie displayed both on and off the court. A special thank you to Mr Bujak for his enthusiasm and hard work in making the tournament such a success. We are so fortunate to have wonderful tennis courts and facilities which bring so much opportunity and joy to our pupils.

Year 2 have enjoyed a fantastic day at Upton Country Park! They put their navigation skills to the test in an exciting workshop, learning how to use compasses and maps to find their way around the park. With teamwork, problem-solving, a picnic lunch, and playground fun, it was a day full of learning and adventure!
