Our year 3 pupils enjoyed a guided tour of Corfe Castle, where they listened to the fascinating history of the castle and learnt why it became a ruin. They also had the opportunity to walk around the ruins and explore the site. The children showed great interest throughout the visit and, despite the rainy weather, had a wonderful day.

We were pleased to welcome Neil Duncan-Jordan MP to Hillbourne Primary School. He met with our Year 2 pupils to hear about their work on water pollution in Poole Harbour following letters that they sent him.
The children spoke confidently and passionately about protecting local wildlife, and we are very proud of the impact their voices are making.
Thank you to Neil for taking the time to visit and support our pupilsโ learning.

Last Wednesday, our pupils took part in engaging, nutritionistโled healthy eating workshops delivered by Chartwells. Pupils learned about the importance of a balanced diet and explored how balance can be found in cuisines from around the world.
The sessions ended with lots of smiles as pupils created fun fruit and vegetable faces, and an opportunity to try the foods they used! These workshops were a fantastic, handsโon way to build knowledge, confidence and healthy habits.
