The threat to corporate executives has never been higher. And most organisations still aren’t ready for it. 👇
A major report dropped earlier this year covering 20+ years of data on attacks against senior executives.
The findings? Sobering.
By October 2025, incidents had already doubled compared to the whole of 2024. That’s not a projection. That’s already happened.
Here’s what stood out 👇
📌 CEOs are still the most targeted — making up 64% of cases. But attacks on other senior leaders are rising fast. If you think only the CEO needs protection, think again.
📌 Activism is fuelling more attacks. Anti-corporate movements, climate protests, anti-billionaire sentiment — executives are increasingly being treated as symbols, not just individuals.
đź“Ś Personal grievance cases are the deadliest. Weapons were involved in 70% of those attacks. Less common, but far more lethal.
📌 It’s not just happening on the road anymore. More incidents are now taking place at executives’ homes and offices than ever before. Travel-focused protection programmes are missing the picture.
đź“Ś Female executives are increasingly in the crosshairs. Targeting has risen sharply since 2021 and hit record levels in 2025.
So what does this mean in practice?
Executive protection can’t be reactive anymore.
The old model, activate when there’s a trip or a public appearance doesn’t reflect where the risk actually is now.
