🌟 Learning outside the classroom 🌟
Level 3 learners have just come back from an amazing day on St Michael’s Mount. The learners walked the causeway, had a talk, enjoyed a tour up to the castle and through the castle, completed a careers task where they interacted with staff carrying out different job roles, and then ventured back via the boats. They’ve had a very informative day and got to experience every aspect of the Mount! Thank you so much to Kerry for having us for the day.

Changing theory work to practical!

Our level 2 learners took a trip to Lands End today as part of their ‘Purpose Built Attractions’ module. The learners were looking at what’s been built at Lands End, including all the facilities for tourists. The learners looked into the customer types that Lands End appeals to and the difference from the historic information they previously researched, to the attractions that are there now. The learners will use this further, to come up with ideas for future developments at Lands End.

Travel and Tourism had a fantastic Careers Day with different industry specialists delivering workshops and talks. We were lucky enough to welcome Kerry from St Michael’s Mount, Matt from Falmouth Uni and we got to welcome (online) Ivana, from France, from the super yachts industry. It was an inspiring and educational day for all learners.

Level 3 Extended learners took a trip to Falmouth Uni yesterday as part of tutorial and their next steps. The learners had a talk on the Tourism Management course at Falmouth and got involved in some practical tasks based on events and festivals.
Thank you to Falmouth for having us and showing the learners what Falmouth Uni has to offer.

Our level 3 Extended learners and some of our Level 3 volunteered at the Cornwall College Graduation on Friday 🧑‍🎓
The learners worked hard throughout the day to serve drinks to the guests. The volunteer work goes alongside their Conferences and Events module, where they will soon be planning and running an event of their own!
