It’s a trick question, it’s always bell ringing o’clock 😃

Over the weekend, not one, not two but three Plymouth Ringers made the long trip north to Sheffield for the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers AGM meeting up with fellow ringers from all over the UK and further afield including Australia, New Zealand and the United States! One was there in their role as treasurer for the Central Council and two as elected representatives for the Guild of Devonshire Ringers.
You can out more about what the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers is here: https://cccbr.org.uk/about/

A HUGE thank you to the Yorkshire Association of Change Ringers for hosting this year's The Ringing World and CCCBR - Central Council of Church Bell Ringers AGMs and Roadshow weekend. Particular thanks to the organising team lead by Philip Hoole, the team at Sheffield Cathedral, the venue team at Niagara Centre in Sheffield, the towers that welcomed lots of visitors on Friday and Sunday, all the exhibitors, advertisers and speakers who supported the event, and everyone who came along to participate in the weekend.

Next year we're in Rugby, hosted by the Coventry Guild of Church Bell Ringers.

Did you know that Plymouth has 10 towers with 6 or more bells hung for full circle ringing? They are:
Compton Gifford, Emmanuel
Eggbuckland, St Edward
Laira, St Mary Virgin
Minster Church of St Andrew (City Centre)
Plympton St Mary, St Mary
Plympton St Maurice, St Maurice
Plymstock, St Mary and All Saints
St Budeaux, St Budeaux
Stoke Damerel, St Andrew
Tamerton Foliot, St Mary

Sadly not all the towers have their own resident band at the moment and rely on ringers from other towers to help out ringing for Sunday services and special occasions such as Weddings.
