Hi, I’m Alice 👋🏼

I’m a qualified fitness instructor with a background in education and an MSc in Nutrition (Nutritionist), with a real passion for positive behaviour change around food, movement, and health. I believe nutrition and fitness should support your life - not control it. I’m a big lover of food and take an inclusive, realistic approach that helps people build confidence, consistency, and healthier habits without restriction or guilt. My work is rooted in education, empowerment, and long-term change - because quick fixes don’t last, but sustainable habits do!

A Sunday in September reset 🫶🏼

Not a “start again on Monday” reset. Not a complete life overhaul. Just a little Sunday check-in as we head into a new week 🤍

Maybe you need to plan a few meals, restock some easy options for busy days, get back into a decent sleep routine, sort your vitamin D for autumn, schedule some movement you enjoy… or simply get outside for a bit today!!

You don’t need to do everything at once. Pick one or two things that would make the week ahead feel a little easier.

What are you focusing on this week? 🍂

I’m prioritising regular movement breaks away from my laptop, getting back into the gym after a few missed sessions thanks to a horrrrible cold and a few nourishing and comforting meals!! 🍂🍜🌯

A little reminder that a nutritious diet can include fresh foods, frozen foods, packaged foods, fortified foods, convenience foods, sauces, spreads, chocolate… and plenty in between 🕺🏼🍌🍓🫘🥛🍫🧀

There seems to be a rise in supermarket videos telling you which foods to “avoid”, particularly anything processed, fortified or containing ingredients with unfamiliar-sounding names 🫠

“If you can’t pronounce an ingredient, don’t eat it” might make a catchy video… but it isn’t particularly useful nutrition advice 🙄

Take a fortified food or drink (eg. the soya milk in my video). You might see names like:

Ascorbic acid - vitamin C
Folic acid - vitamin B9
Tocopherol / tocopheryl acetate - forms of vitamin E
Riboflavin - vitamin B2
Cyanocobalamin - a form of vitamin B12
Cholecalciferol - vitamin D3

Some of those are a mouthful 😂😂😂

I occasionally stumble over the pronunciation of nutrient compounds and I’m a nutritionist.

An ingredient isn’t harmful simply because its name is long, scientific or unfamiliar to you!! 📣

Fortification is actually be an IMPORTANT public-health tool, helping increase intakes of specific nutrients and prevent deficiencies across populations!!??

The same nuance is needed when we talk about “processed” food.

Processing covers an enormous range of foods and processes; the fact that something has been processed doesn’t automatically tell you whether it’s nutritious or how it fits into somebody’s overall diet.

We need more NUANCE (pls n thanks) in nutrition especially when it comes to these topics in my opinion🙏🏼

Less fearmongering over ingredient lists. More understanding of what those ingredients actually are!!

Do you have any thoughts on this!? 💭 🛒

Only 17% of UK adults are getting their 5 A Day…

What counts, why it matters and some of the common barriers I work through with clients - without overcomplicating it.

Gold star to anybody who makes it to the end of this post ⭐️😂

I put every single slide together myself and it took me SO long on Canva (unlike the current ChatGPT 80s trend 👀 sorry but pls stop 🥲😂), so I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts ❤️
