🎾✨ What a fantastic morning coaching the little stars from Penmoor Nursery School ! 🌟 At just 2 years old, they brought so much energy, curiosity, and joy to the tennis court. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ It’s amazing to see how even the youngest children can develop balance, coordination, and a love for movement through fun tennis games.

We focused on tiny steps, big smiles 😊 and it was heartwarming to watch their confidence grow with every activity. Who knows – we might have some future Wimbledon champions in the making! 🏆🎾

A huge well done to all the children for giving it their all 👏 and thank you to Penmoor Nursery for letting us be part of their journey. 💛

🎾☀️ What an amazing week coaching tennis at St Matthew’s School! From the super friendly reception team to the brilliant teachers and the absolute stars of the show – the kids 🌟 – I couldn’t have felt more welcome. 🏫💛

Even with the sun blazing down, we had such a blast on court! 😅🔥 A big shoutout to Melanie Curtis and everyone at St Matthew’s for making it such a fantastic experience. Can’t wait to do it all again! 🙌✨

I’ll always cherish the memories of the fun and energy this man brought to the tennis court when I was a junior. Now, at 79, he’s a true inspiration – proof that the love for this game never fades. And to this day, he can still pull off all the tricks. An absolute legend. 🎾

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of attending an event with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) who oversee all tennis and padel in the UK. It was great to hear about their ambitious vision to “open up” tennis, making the sport more welcoming and accessible to people of all backgrounds, across the county.

Last year, over 9 million people played tennis in Britain, and with the LTA's Local Delivery Plans, they’re targeting areas like South West Devon to break down barriers and create new opportunities for people to get involved!

The event was a fantastic opportunity to make the case for some of the newly announced tennis funding to be brought to South West Devon. I’d love to pop along and visit some of our brilliant local tennis groups to see their facilities first-hand!
