📚 Last week, our school was transformed into a literary wonderland for World Book Day! ✨ The children absolutely came alive, stepping into the pages of their favourite stories and bringing characters to life in the most creative ways. 🎭
The costumes were absolutely spectacular—from classic characters to imaginative interpretations, every single child showed up with such enthusiasm and effort. 📖 It was pure magic watching them embody their literary heroes and heroines! 🌟

A wonderful group of our Year 6 Play Leaders represented High View this afternoon at the Leadership Academy Conference 2025.
Already, this group of children have received some quality Play Leaders training and this afternoon, they furthered these skills alongside some of the City’s most promising young leaders from Community Colleges across the city.
Well done to our future leaders, you conducted yourselves superbly and demonstrated every one of the PSSP values: Respect, Determination, Passion, Teamwork, Honesty and Self-belief.

Year 1/2 had two exciting events last week. A wonderful trip to Efford library to have stories read to us by the amazing team AND an important Road Safety assembly. One of our school rules is always safe so this was great to know the children have the knowledge to be safe on the roads. Thanks to and for allowing us to take part.

Children in Foundation enjoyed their first of many visits to Efford library today for some Christmas stories with Kim. They loved the story ‘Oh, Christmas Tree’ about a tree that didn’t like being decorated for Christmas!
The children were so excited and inspired that they came straight back to school and started drawing Christmas trees!
We certainly all felt in the festive spirit when we got back to school! 🎄🧑🏼🎄

On Thursday 6th November our Military Kids Club (MKC Heroes) had the honour of representing the school and their families at Efford Remembrance Service. The children, who all have family members in the armed forces, met with service veterans, read a poem and laid a wreath as a sign of respect and remembrance for those who have lost their lives. We are incredibly proud of them for showing such kindness and appreciation to those who protect our country.
