And so the sun sets on yet another academic year that has come and gone in a flash! It’s had plenty of highs and lows but I can honestly say, no two days are ever the same. Working with children brings so many rewards, the best of which is being able to send the Year 6 children out into the world knowing they will thrive because of the lessons they have learnt whilst being with us.
Before the holidays properly begin, I just want to take a moment to say I am so very proud of my whole team at Fletewood School - the staff are so dedicated, caring and diligent and it shows in the way the children have grown to be such compassionate, co-operative, happy, respectful and resilient children themselves. The parents have stood by the school in these difficult financial times and are grateful for all we do for both them and their children - thank you for all the kind words you shared with us at the end of term. The governors have worked hard behind the scenes to help make sure our school continues to provide an excellent academic and holistic education for each and every child.
Thank you to you all for making my job a little easier each day just be being there. To our amazing Y6s, go and continue to be amazing! To the rest of you, see you all again in September. Now, go and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!
