Nurseries and childminders are closing their doors. Why? Because Government “Free Childcare” funding doesn’t cover the true cost of care.

Unless the funding system changes, parental choice and the future of early years education are at risk.

📢 Early Years Voice is uniting parents and professionals to demand better.

⚠️ An amber heat health alert has been issued by the UK Health Security Agency, from midday today to 9am Monday.

Anyone can become unwell when the weather is hot, but some are at higher risk than others. Look out for older people, people with long-term health conditions and young children who may find it more difficult to stay cool and hydrated.

You can keep cool by:
☀ Staying out of direct sun, especially during the hottest part of the day (11am to 3pm)
☀ Regularly apply sunscreen of at least SPF 30 and 4 or 5 star UVA protection to exposed skin
☀ Drink plenty of fluids and avoid excess alcohol
☀ Avoid strenuous physical activity, or wait until cooler times of the day such as early morning or evening.

From September 2025, 15 hours childcare for eligible working families will increase to 30 hours.

If you currently receive 15 hours as working parents, just reconfirm as usual and the code will work for the 30 hours offer in September, providing you remain eligible.

🌟 Introducing Tumble's Toddlers at Dartmoor Zoo! 🌟

A fun, social, and educational group for 2-4 year olds to explore their wild side! 🐯

Your little ones will enjoy storytelling, arts and crafts, animal visits, and more—helping them grow socially and academically in a playful setting. 🐾

🗓️ The first session is on May 12th, running from 10:30am-12pm, and sessions will be held every second Monday of the month.

The school gates are now on a timer. Parents are able to use the car park between 7am - 8:15am and 3:45pm - 6pm. Please only use the car park if you are dropping off or collecting from nursery.
