Well… that escalated 😅

I’ve been ill with pneumonia since mid-March, so I’ve been completely out of action for a few weeks.

I’m now finally on the mend and things are getting back on track...

All invoices (and adjustments for missed cleans) have been caught up with and sent out, so if you're expecting one and haven't received it yet, please let me know!

I’m taking a bit of time now with my boys (and getting ready for our holiday ☀️), and I’ll be back to work from Tuesday 21st April 🧼✨

Unfortunately this year, my lungs have become rather grinch-like....
it seems that scented plug-ins are triggering my asthma, so if any air fresheners in your homes could be switched off before your scheduled cleans, it would be massively appreciated! ⭐

✨ A little shift in the way I do things...

After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided to step away from regular general cleaning bookings and focus fully on deep cleaning.

This is where I thrive. Where I can work slowly, methodically, and with real attention to detail. It’s where I shine, and where I get the best outcomes for you and your home.

In many ways, it gives me the same sense of purpose I felt during my nursing days in complex wound care. Restoring something overlooked. Improving quality of life. Doing it with care and precision.

But this shift is also about restoring balance, and reconnecting with the reason I started cleaning in the first place.

Work has recently started to take over with skipped breaks, admin-heavy evenings, and ultimately, less time with my family.

That’s not sustainable, and it’s not how I want to work.

So I've made the following changes:

🌿 I’m no longer taking on new regular general cleaning clients.
🧼 I’ll be fully focusing on domestic deep cleans - both one-offs and monthly bookings.
📅 My Deep Clean Club clients can still tag on maintenance cleans between their scheduled visits.

Nothing needs to change unless you’d like to explore upgrading to deep cleans or joining the Deep Clean Club.
I've reconfigured my diary to balance things out, and I’m here, as always, to support what works best for you.

Croissant Wednesday! 🥐

A small ritual that marks the end of my physical cleaning week and helps me to reset slightly before shifting gears.

This morning was my first breakfast in the garden in months—iced latte, sunshine, fresh croissants, and a few quiet minutes with my little blueberry bush. This is my fourth attempt at growing blueberries...and all the others were wiped out by slugs.

This one’s flowering! 🌸

Small thing, but it feels like a win, and has put a little spring in my step.

Most of the people I work with are juggling a lot, and sometimes just having the house cleaned is the thing that makes the rest of the day feel possible. Those little shifts matter- they build momentum, and provide motivation to keep going...

..and that’s exactly where the magic is!✨🫧

After a seriously busy few months, it was really nice to stop and catch up over breakfast with my friend and fellow local business owner Sweets Delivered Plymouth . Thanks to DidBeans Coffee for the warm welcome, yummy breakfast and consistently great coffee—so good I ended up with two at once! ⚡🤣🫨

Recently, I received a card from a client that stopped me in my tracks:

That simple piece of feedback reminded me just how much of an impact my work can have—not just in creating a clean space, but in helping bring calm and order to people’s lives. Positive feedback like this means the world to me, and I’m so grateful for every kind word or gesture I receive.

A few years ago, I never would have imagined myself here. Back then, I was a nurse with a career I loved, helping people during some of the most significant moments of their lives. I thought I’d be in that role forever, but life had other plans. A series of personal challenges turned my world upside down and forced me to step away from my career to focus on rebuilding my life.

During that time, I hired a cleaner—something I’d always thought of as an impossible luxury. But it turned out to be a lifeline. Having someone help me with the day-to-day gave me space to breathe and showed me just how transformative a little extra support can be.

When I was ready to take small steps forward, I started cleaning for friends. At first, it was just a way to get out of the house and feel useful, but it quickly became something so much more. I found peace, pride, and even joy in it—feelings I hadn’t had in a long time. What began as a stopgap has turned into my passion.

That card reminded me of something I hadn’t realised: I’m still doing what I set out to when I first became a nurse—making a real difference in people’s lives. And that realisation was such a cathartic moment for me.

CF Cleaning Services is about more than just cleaning; it’s about creating space for families to breathe, reset, and thrive. Every bit of feedback, and every token of appreciation reminds me of the impact this work can have, and I’m so grateful to be part of that for my clients.
