Following on from our previous post here are some more of our amazing yr11 students demonstrating technical skills in the preparation and cooking of there final dishes. Let’s wish them all luck on these final practical exams.... the finishing results 👇 are just amazing!!

Best of luck to our Year 10 maths students Tristan, Sarah, Wilson and Jacob who are competing in the Year 10 Maths Feast Team Competition at Scarborough Sixth Form today!

Last week our Year 11 Food Tech students took there final practical exams. The Year 11 food brief was to 'Prepare cook and serve 3 dishes that promote seasonal and fresh produce'.

I mean the picture's say it all.... FANTASTIC work, Well done to all 😀

Yr 7 Netball Team competed against 7 other local teams at St Augustine’s School and came 2nd overall !! The girls were praised for their performance and attitude to each game.

The PE department are very impressed and proud with the girls, and hope to continue the success in future games and tournaments.

Year 10 Students have been investigating the use of chemical indicators to identify unknown substances.

This involves testing indicators against known substances first, before testing the unknown substances. This technology is often used in the field of Forensic Science.

Yr 6 getting to know you evening was a great success. All the Yr 6 who attended enjoyed developing new friendships with new children from all different Primary Schools.

The information evening for parents of Year 6 students who will be transferring to Lady Lumley's will be held on Wednesday 6th March.

Today students received their certificates from the Intermediate Math's Challenge.

Congratulations to Joshua Ayers who qualified for the next round of the competition also awarded best in school and well done for all students that took part, more on this in this week's newsletter.

Going for Gold! 🥇

We are delighted that the following former sixth formers have passed the prestigious Gold DofE Award at Lady Lumley's Sixth Form and have been invited to a very special presentation at Buckingham Palace with members of the Royal Family. Many of the students completed their expedition by canoe on the River Wye and have put a tremendous amount of work in to completing the Gold DofE!

The power of visualisers - sharing content through interactive touchscreens given everyone the chance to see at the same time during in lesson delivery. Miss Wilson loves to use her visualiser in class, today helping her model to year 7 students how to plot distance/time graphs.
