Regular attendance to school is so important for all young people. Being in school allows your child to access academic and pastoral support. We have mental health and wellbeing support, family worker support, relationship building opportunities, HLTA interventions and much more.
Please find below a poster provided by the NHS which outlines when a child should or should not be able to attend school when minor illness is reported.
We are conscious that many Endeavour students struggled to attend school regularly in the past, and often report anxiety related illness, however, being in our small and nurturing environment, with the many interventions being available, this should reduce many of the barriers previously experienced and therefore, high expectations around attendance should be held.

This week in assembly, students were asked to reflect on their own personal journey so far. Some spoke of being born and their journey through childhood, whilst others gave examples of big decisions and life changing events they’ve encountered.
We began looking at choices, and discussed how our personal choices influence outcomes and gave examples of how choosing to be kind can influence how people feel about themselves and others.
Students shared appreciation posts for specific staff members for support they have shown in different areas across school, helping in lessons, making learning fun, supporting their wellbeing, helping them make friends, helping with lunch and much more. Teachers showed appreciation to their learning support assistants for the many tasks they do daily, whist management expressed thanks to the whole Endeavour team, including staff, students and visitors, who were thanked for their positive attitudes and kindness shown, for being able to prioritise happiness of others over everything else.
Creating and maintaining a positive environment enables our young people to feel safe, confident and happy to be in school and each person connected to the school really does make a difference and for that - we are truly grateful. THANK YOU!

We would like to thank all those who attended our parent / carer event last Friday afternoon.
The openness and support shown between members of the group was wonderful, and hearing parents describe the changes as ‘life changing’ so early on, was heart warming to say the least.
We are so grateful for the trust shown in our team and we look forward to the future as we work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for your children.
Please remember to check Class Charts regularly, remember positive attendance is vital for individual success, giving access to a variety of interventions and lastly, please remember, there is no shame in asking for or accepting support from others- that is what we are here for. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!
