Good luck to Fiona today as she heads down to Worksop College in Nottinghamshire for an assessment day with Scotland Rugby! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

Fiona’s journey has been truly inspiring — after suffering a serious knee injury and undergoing a full reconstruction last year, it’s fantastic to see her back on the pitch and performing at such a high level.

AOC Regional 7’s 🏉

Our East Durham College Rugby Academy team will travel to Maiden Castle, Durham University, tomorrow for the AOC Regional 7’s Tournament.

The squad are ready to showcase their skills, teamwork, and determination in what promises to be an exciting day of rugby competition.

This Friday, 17th October: East Durham College Rugby Academy at the Regional 7s! 🏉.

This Friday, the Rugby Academy head over to Durham University’s Graham Sports Centre to compete in the Regional 7s Competition.

The tournament promises an exciting day of fast-paced rugby, showcasing the skill, teamwork, and determination of our players as they represent the college against strong regional opposition.

Great Day at the Regional Rugby Festival! 🏉
Yesterday, East Durham College Rugby Academy took 16 players to the regional festival.

4 female players teamed up with Park View & Hartlepool, taking on Tyne Met & Bede in a very competitive game.

12 male players linked up with Sunderland, facing Bede, Park View & Tyne Met.
The team finished with 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss – a strong performance against tough opposition.

A fantastic day of rugby and a great effort from all involved – well done, everyone! 👏.

🏉 College Rugby is Back! 🏉
It’s been a while, but we’re excited to announce that rugby at East Durham College is back in action!
Our Rugby Academy’s first outing of the season will be Wednesday 24th September, where we’ll take part in the first of five AoC Rugby Festivals at Billingham Rugby Club.
We’re thrilled to welcome some new players into the squad this year, and we’re always looking to recruit more students who are passionate about rugby.
Here’s to a fantastic season ahead — let’s go, EDC! 💪

🏉 Rugby Returns to Eden Park – Centenary Kick-Off Match!

This Friday night, Peterlee & Horden RFC welcome old friends (and rivals) Hartlepool Rovers to Eden Lane for a very special fixture — a repeat of their first-ever match, 100 years ago.

This game marks the start of their Centenary Year celebrations, and they would like to extend their sincere thanks to Hartlepool Rovers for helping make this historic occasion possible.

The squad has been working hard throughout pre-season, and this fixture offers a fantastic opportunity for the wider playing group to stake their claim ahead of the new season.

Peterlee & Horden RFC would love to see past and present players, supporters, and the wider rugby family at Eden Park to help mark this special moment in their club’s history.
