Last session P.5 and P.6 (new P.6 and P.7) were involved in a Doric project with Aberdeenshire Museums Service. This film shows the work they have been doing on the new Aberdeenshire Museum being built in Peterhead and our pupils make an appearance! Albeit a brief one!!!

Congratulations to our wonderful teacher, Mrs Eade, on winning Teacher of the Year at the Best of Buchan Awards last night! 🎉

This is a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved recognition of the commitment, care and hard work she puts into supporting our pupils each day.

Everyone at Meethill School is delighted to congratulate Mrs Eade on this special award. We are very proud of her and hope she enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating her success.

💜We are delighted to share that our very own Mrs Eade has been named as a finalist for Teacher of the Year at the Best of Buchan Awards 2026!💜

This nomination is a wonderful recognition of Mrs Eade’s dedication and commitment to the children and families of Meethill School. She makes a positive difference every day, and we are incredibly proud to see her hard work acknowledged in this way.

The awards ceremony takes place later this month, and I’m sure you will join me along with everyone at Meethill School wishing Mrs Eade the very best of luck.

💜🌟And that’s a wrap on another fantastic school year! 🌟💜

As we close the doors for the summer, we want to say a huge thank you to our incredible pupils, dedicated staff, supportive parents and carers, and our wider school community. Together, you’ve made this year one to remember, filled with learning, laughter, achievements, and so many special memories.

💜To our wonderful Primary 7 pupils, it’s time to spread your wings. We are so proud of everything you have achieved during your time at Meethill. Thank you for the smiles, the memories, the kindness and the leadership you’ve shown. As you begin your next adventure at the Academy, remember to believe in yourselves, embrace every opportunity, and never stop being the amazing young people you are. 💜Last day of school Thursday 2nd July💜

*Dress down day for pupils*

As tomorrow is our Primary 7s' final day at Meethill, all pupils should be collected at 2.50pm. This will allow staff, pupils and parents to come together to celebrate and give our P7s the send-off they deserve as they leave Meethill at 3pm for their next adventure. They will leave via the main school door.

We look forward to giving our P7s a fantastic farewell!

⚽🏆 P2 World Cup Day 🏆⚽

Today, Primary 2 celebrated Scotland qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in 28 years!

We started the morning with our very own World Cup tournament. Eight teams representing eight different countries were created, with Primary 2 and Primary 6 pupils playing together. Everyone had lots of fun competing against each other, and after some exciting matches, England defeated Germany 3–0 in the final to be crowned champions.

After break, P2 enjoyed a variety of World Cup-themed activity stations. The children decorated cupcakes, designed and built stadiums, and created flags using LEGO and paper.

After lunch, we settled down to watch the Scotland v Brazil match. Although the result wasn't quite what we had hoped for, we still had a fantastic time enjoying cupcakes, crisps, and juice while cheering on Scotland together!
