🎨 Celebrating World Art Day 🎨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our after‑school art exhibition to celebrate World Art Day. It was lovely to see our school community come together to enjoy the children’s creativity.
Children from Preschool to Year 6 proudly showcased artwork inspired by a range of artists and styles, including Picasso (cubism and multiple perspectives), Hokusai (waves and texture), L.S. Lowry (figures and perspective), Van Gogh (brushstrokes and texture), Eric Carle (painted paper collage) and Wassily Kandinsky (colour and shape).

We are incredibly proud of the effort and creativity shown by all the children. A special thank you to Mr Chapman for kindly lending his beautiful oil and watercolour paintings of Peterchurch, Herefordshire and beyond, which added something truly special to the exhibition.

Thank you all for your continued support 🌟🎨

🌟 What an unforgettable week for our Year 6! 🌟
Last week, our Year 6 children set off for an amazing residential adventure at Kilvrough Manor, and what a week it was! 🏞️
They threw themselves into caving, took magical evening walks to coastal castles, bravely abseiled down cliffs, enjoyed coastal scrambling, explored rock pooling, and so much more. Every challenge was met with enthusiasm, teamwork, and huge smiles.
These experiences are truly special; they help our children build teamwork, resilience, and courage, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them. 💛
A massive thank you to our incredible staff who give up their week to make adventures like this possible. Your dedication means the world to our children and our school community. 🌟👏

📚✨ World Book Day 2026 ✨📚

We’ve had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day. Our children impressed everyone with their creative “dress as a word” costumes, and our staff also joined in with great enthusiasm- even recording a special Masked Reader for the children to enjoy and guess who’s behind the mask! 🎭

A lovely part of the day was seeing our Early Years and Year 6 pupils enjoy some shared reading together. It was wonderful to watch the older children support and inspire our youngest readers. 💛📖

We’re now encouraging pupils to take photos of themselves reading in unusual places to continue promoting a love of books across our school community. We can’t wait to see their imaginative reading spots!

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful day celebrating books 📖

🎶 What an unforgettable day for our school choir! 🎶
On Friday, our amazing singers took part in Young Voices at the Birmingham Arena, joining thousands of children from schools across the country. The atmosphere was electric, and the choir did us proud!
Singing alongside so many talented young voices and performing to a huge audience in such an incredible venue was an experience they will never forget. 🌟
A huge well done to all our choir members for their hard work, enthusiasm, and brilliant performance. And thank you to everyone who supported the trip—what a fantastic celebration of music, teamwork, and confidence! 💛🎤

🌟 Honeybees Class Adventure!🦋
Last week, Honeybees Class had an amazing trip to the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo! The children took part in a special Zookeepers Tour, where they learned all about the incredible lifecycle of a butterfly — from tiny egg, to caterpillar, to chrysalis, and finally to beautiful butterfly.
They loved exploring the tropical environment, spotting butterflies all around them, and discovering fun facts from the zookeeper. It was a magical experience that brought our classroom learning to life!
