Okay, I’ll admit it… I made Sarah up. 😂
But if you’re pregnant and want to feel informed, confident and genuinely prepared for birth and parenthood, that part is very real.
My antenatal classes cover everything from birth physiology, interventions and your rights, to feeding, newborn care, the fourth trimester and Hypnobirthing, with Ask Alice WhatsApp support there for those questions that pop up between appointments and in the run-up to birth.
Because preparing for a baby is about more than knowing when to pack your hospital bag.
If you’re pregnant and want to know more about my upcoming antenatal classes, send me a message or head to the link in my bio. ❤️

The Parenthood Space is my gym.
Hear me out. 😂
I want The Parenthood Space to be a chance to step away from the evening routine for a couple of hours and have some time that is just for you.
If you have a partner, family member or someone you trust who can take over for the evening, it’s okay to let them.
My husband goes to the gym every weekday. That’s his time for himself.
I work different hours, so my routine is nursery, work, collect the girls and then home. I don’t go to the gym because that’s not my idea of self-care!
So this is mine.
A chance to leave the mental load at the door, talk to other adults, make connections and fill my cup.
I know that isn’t possible for everyone, and there’s absolutely no judgement if getting out for an evening isn’t realistic for you right now.
But if it is possible?
Let someone else do bedtime for once. Your family will still be there when you get home. 💜

As it’s World Breastfeeding Week, I’ve been reflecting on my own breastfeeding journey with Lily. 💜
Before becoming a parent, I assumed breastfeeding would come naturally. I didn’t realise that it was a skill both me and my baby needed to learn.
Those early weeks were hard. Feeding was painful, I lacked confidence, and I remember being told that my ni***es just needed to “toughen up”.
I did ask for support, but at the time I didn’t know what questions to ask or what support I needed. It wasn’t until Lily was around eight weeks old that we got the right support, and everything started to change.
After Lily’s tongue tie was assessed and released, feeding became so much better. I was also shown different feeding positions and realised there wasn’t just one “right” way to feed a baby.
This experience is a huge part of why I chose to become a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. I wanted to be able to support other parents, help them feel listened to, and remind them that they don’t have to struggle alone.
I absolutely love breastfeeding, but I support every family’s feeding choices. Whether you breastfeed, formula feed, express, combination feed or change your plans along the way — every parent deserves compassionate, non-judgemental support.
I’ve shared my full breastfeeding journey, including the things I wish I’d known sooner, in a blog on my website.

When I started thinking about what was missing locally, I kept coming back to the same thing.
Connection.
There are already some fantastic groups, classes and activities for babies and children, and many families attend them regularly.
But whilst babies grow and develop, parents do too.
The Parenthood Space isn’t about teaching your baby a new skill or focusing on the next milestone. It’s about creating a space where parents and parents-to-be can connect, share experiences, have meaningful conversations and take a little time for themselves.
Of course we’ll chat about feeding, sleep, milestones and all the things that come with family life. But the focus is on the people navigating pregnancy and parenthood.
Because parents matter too.
Because you can’t pour from an empty cup.
And because parenthood was never meant to be done alone.
The Parenthood Space is open to all parents and parents-to-be, with pre-crawling babies welcome to attend alongside their grown-up.
Launching Wednesday 19th August,5.45pm–7.15pm
Cross Keys Skills Hub, Shakespeare Avenue, New England, Peterborough, PE1 3JW

Because pregnancy doesn’t only happen during appointments.
Ask Alice is designed for all those moments in between.
The questions.
The overthinking.
The “can I just check something?” messages.
A calm, evidence-based sounding board when you need one.

Creating a space where people feel safe, comfortable and able to talk openly is something that’s really important to me.
Pregnancy, birth and parenthood can bring up so many questions, worries and emotions, and I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to explore those in a supportive, judgement-free environment.
This review means so much because it reflects exactly the kind of experience I hope to create, whether that’s in a group setting or during a one-to-one session.
Thank you for your kind words, and for trusting me to be part of your journey.
