๐Ÿ—ฃ Itโ€™s okay to question things! We're helping children look at ideas with a curious mind.

Instead of just accepting what they hear, theyโ€™re learning to check sources, look for evidence, and decide for themselves if something is trustworthy. Itโ€™s all about building critical thinking skills! ๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿ˜ฒ Yesterday, the children in Year 3 arrived in class to find it in complete disarray! Chairs had been knocked over, books were scattered around the room, and pillows had been tossed onto the floor.

๐Ÿ”Ž Everyone was shocked and eager to discover what had happened. Using clues left behind, the children became detectives for the day, investigating the mystery and making predictions.

๐Ÿ“ฐ To help with their investigation, Mrs Salisbury delivered a special newspaper report with more information about the strange events that had taken place.

The investigation is officially underway... Stay tuned to find out if Year 3 cracks the case! ๐Ÿ”โณ

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ Meet our kitchen crew!

๐Ÿ‘ Today is National Caterers Appreciation Day and we are celebrating the team who keep our children fuelled with delicious and nutritious food each day.

For them, the children's voice is always the first priority. From cooking healthy, homemade, nutritional meals to getting creative with new dessert combinations, they love planning menus that reflect what the children like (while encouraging them to try new things!). They also find it a real privilege to watch the Reception children flourish into Year 6s, and getting to know every child individually.๐ŸŽ‰

Itโ€™s a kitchen full of joy, where the food is fab and the welcome warm.

A big THANK YOU! Our kitchen staff do so much more than cook; they bring energy, care, and kindness to our school every day.

Discover their personal favourite foodsโ€”and don't forget to save the second graphic for a tasty recipe to try at home this week! ๐Ÿฐโœจ

What an awe inspiring time our Reception children had at Tallington Farm ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ“๐Ÿซ

A huge thank you to Farmer Louise and Farmer Will Tallington Farm , led by Jenny The Country Trust , for giving the children such an incredible immersive experience on the farm.

The children loved learning about hens, collecting eggs, grooming donkeys, building nests, exploring nature on a spring colour hunt and planting flower seeds to take home ๐ŸŒผ Every activity was hands-on, exciting and full of wonder.

So many smiles, giggles and happy memories made โ€” definitely the best day! โœจ

๐Ÿ”Ž Just like scientists, children make educated guesses based on what they already know, then test their ideas to see if they make sense. This reasoning helps children see learning as exploration not just finding the 'right'
It's about building and revising ideas, understanding that all theories are works in progress ๐Ÿš€
