Someone please tell me why my brain is saying ‘do it again’

- should I? 👀

Or a different question, could I?! 👀😅

Take care of the woman that’s is raising your children 👀

Not just physically, but mentally too. It’s Mental Health awareness week, and I know, like many other mums and parents, that without movement and exercise our mental health would still be on the floor.
Mine definitely would.

I train and move not only because it helps me feel good, and strong, and capable, but because it makes me a better mum. It also shows my kids a positive outlet and is better for their mental health too.

Your kids get one mum, look after her.

This trend is very cute.

Her.on Health - a personal trainer that focuses on women’s health and educating them on their journey. Creating space for mums to get back to fitness. A space for me to train and build myself up, and more recently a R3Form instructor ✨

Dini - a mum of two, family adventures and just a woman in her 30’s figuring out life as she goes🫶✨

It Maternal Mental Health week this week.

That first video was on of my first workouts with two kids, in my living room, by myself, when my mental health was through the floor.

The second is having just finished competing in the ATHX finals with both of them watching.

I’m very grateful that I found the space and movement that I needed, and will continue to hold a space for mums that need it too.

3 things I wished someone had told me before I got back into training after kids…

1 - your six week check does not mean you are ready to get back into training you are use to. My 6 week check was done over the phone 👀 and I was asked about my mental health and if I wanted contraception. I ended up doing more damage and it took waaaaay longer for me to get to where I am today because of it.

2 - you can still be a good mum, but want to work on yourself. It is okay to give yourself an hour to go to the gym, or out for a run, or walk, or just even some space.

3 - your kids are you reason to stay strong, to get fitter, to be healthy for the the long run. They are not your excuse to give up on yourself.

You can build yourself into the healthiest and happiest version of yourself after kids.

This was very very quick.
How he managed it for 2 hours?! Incredible. Humans are amazing.

This was my sprinting pace. My flat out. My everything.
And I lasted about 20 seconds 😬😅

Definitely going to give it another go though -
How long do you think you can last? 👀

Two pregnancies.
And I am stronger, faster, fitter than I ever was beforehand.

And it only now that I am really appreciating what my body has done to get here. The years of rebuilding, of supporting, of sleepless nights and giving my everything to another human being.

My kids have given me a reason to make sure I am strong, fast and capable ✨
