Reception Class
This week during our farm topic, the Robins had a visit from Mrs Connor with some of her animals from home. She brought in some chickens and the ducks which we helped hatch earlier in the year at school. The children got to look at the animals, and also had a chance to feed them. They listened to Mrs Connor talk about how she looks after the different animals she has at home, including how she looks after her pigs! The children loved this experience.

In the EYFS we have been developing the forest school's area. Grant and donation funding was used to enclose the area to provide us with a dedicated space for our sessions.
We cleared and planted a garden area for the children to look after including sensory plants for the children to feel and smell. The children have really enjoyed the addition of a swing, hammock and mud kitchen. There are lots of new and exciting opportunities for the children to explore.

Year 6
Over this half term, Year Six have been studying the Titanic. They have researched the different classes and then chose a class to focus on to inspire them in their art work. They began by sketching different people on board and then placed themselves in their shoes, with their final design becoming a clay model of their own Titanic passenger.

Year 1 has had an exciting term full of memorable experiences! In Religious Education, the children took part in a pretend wedding ceremony, taking on different roles to understand this important celebration. They were also thrilled to participate in a fossil experience led by Peterborough Museum, where they learned about ancient sea creatures and examined real fossils. To bring their learning together, the children worked collaboratively to create an impressive dinosaur skeleton out of sticks. Woodpecker's class also shared a special moment where they carefully set their ladybugs free, watching them fly away into our forest school area!
