Year 6 have had a very busy week with their completion of Business Week. The children have worked exceptionally hard, identifying what they would like to sell, making and purchasing everything necessary and then being fantastic stall holders by selling all of the wonderful ideas. They are looking forward to counting up all of the money raised and then thinking of what they would like to do for their Leavers Event using these funds along with the money raised by selling ice poles and at the Christmas Fair. We would like to thank everyone for all of their support during these ventures and really appreciate it.
As well as Business Week, the Year Six pupils have been enjoying their science lessons based upon the circulatory system and investigating their pulse rates and the effects different forms of exercise have on these. The pupils used these results to produce a line graph and to identify whether their predictions as to what would happen to their pulse rates was correct.

After the children had finished the squiggle while you wiggle session, they asked for the paper to be left on the floor. They then collected the pencils, crayons and pens from the writing table and continued to draw, write and mark make. Next they decided to get some scissors and cut their pictures out so that they could take them home.

The class have learnt how to stay safe whilst riding the balance bikes, and about different parts of the bikes.
The class have showed amazing community and teamwork, especially when helping each other to get their helmets on.
They have learnt many skills on the balance bikes, such as weaving in and out, gliding and how to use their brakes.

In Year 3 we had some very exciting visitors this week. Max and Phoenix from Twenty Twenty Studios came and delivered a full day workshop as part of the Junior Naturalist Environmental Programme. The children had to complete an interactive quiz on climate change and biodiversity as well as learn all about these important topics. The children were then given a topic and each group had to research and then deliver a presentation on the issue they were given. In the afternoon the children then had to create a model of an invention on something that could help the issue that they had researched. We still have another day of the programme to go where we will be finishing our inventions and hopefully gaining our Bronze Naturalist Award.

We take part in squiggle whilst you wiggle every day, concentrating on different movements. We do circles, lines (up and down, horizontal and vertical), humps and wavy lines which all help to kickstart the children's writing journey. We do this along to some of our favourite music to make it extra fun!

The children were very excited to have a visit from Otto. They all sat very quietly and waited for their turn to come and stroke Otto.🐾
