✏️ Good letter formation starts from the very beginning!

Teaching children how to form their letters correctly from a young age helps build strong, consistent habits that can stick with them as their writing develops.

It’s so much easier to build good habits from the start than to undo tricky ones later! 💜

✏️ Bad letter formation habits can become ingrained surprisingly quickly if they aren’t corrected early.

That’s why practising the right way from the beginning really matters.

Simple rhymes, repetition and lots of little opportunities to practise can help children remember where to start, which way to go and how to form each letter correctly. 💜

It’s much easier to build a good habit from the start than to undo a habit later!

How to teach your child to read in under 60 seconds 👀📚

It really can be this simple:

👉 Teach the sounds
👉 Get them sounding out
👉 Blend the sounds together
👉 Repeat, repeat, repeat!

You don’t need to make it complicated. Little and often makes such a difference.

And remember reading doesn’t happen overnight. Give them time, keep it positive and celebrate the little wins ❤️

Those spellings that can make you go… “wait, why does that sound like THAT?” 🤯

ue, u-e, oo, ew… and then you’ve got words where the same sound can be written in different ways!

This is exactly why we made our Phonic Mat it groups the different ways sounds can be written together, so children can actually see the patterns rather than trying to remember a million random spellings.

We also have our phonic cards that are wipeable too.

12,500 alphabet cards sold. 🥹💜

TWELVE. THOUSAND. FIVE. HUNDRED.

I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever get used to saying that.

What started as a little idea during lockdown, making cards for children who needed something a bit different, has somehow ended up in 12,500 homes.

12,500 children practising their letters.
12,500 families trying to make learning at home that little bit easier.
And 12,500 sets of cards that started with one very simple idea…

👉 learning doesn’t have to mean sitting still at a table.

The fact that so many of you have chosen our little cards for your children honestly means more than you know.

And the best bit? Seeing the messages saying things like “she finally wrote her name”, “he knows all his sounds now” and “we actually enjoy practising letters.”

That’s why we made them. 💜

You decided to start a small business alongside being a full-time Assistant Head Teacher…

…and this is what happened 😂💜

Somehow I went from “I’ll just make a few resources” to packing orders, creating content, answering messages, obsessing over sales and running a whole little business alongside school life. 🫠

Would I do it again? Absolutely.
Would I recommend doing it when you’re already exhausted? …let’s not talk about that 😂
