Drum roll please.....

After lots of blood sweat and tears by "Mr Laura's Little Learners" the children now have their very own play room! All the toys are accessible and organised. We have already been using this space for a week and the difference it has made to me and the children is incredible 😄

Feel free to pop in when you collect your child for a closer look!

Video of the inside pending (once we've added a little more detail inside.)

*Edit to admit I asked AI to paint a door and window white as we haven't done it yet 🤣

Another qualification to add to the portfolio 👍🏼

Play dough is great for so many skills! From building hand muscles just by squeezing, to using tools to mark make and safely practising scissor skills- not to mention the amount of language and imagination play opportunities!
This is guaranteed to keep the little ones occupied for copious amounts of time.

This evening we have each made our own coloured/scented playdough. The older ones then facilitated dividing it up and sharing with others to get a mix of colours. Only the youngest has mixed the colours into one big smoosh 🤐🤐 if you know, you know!

The first bunch of these have been collected but we still have time for another collection 🥰 thank you to all those who have made and sent cards so far!!

Good morning. I am putting a small basket on the bottom shelf of *The magical story Cupboard* if you wish to drop a card in for Amelia 😁 before 20th Feb

The cupboard currently has tarpaulin over to protect from the elements- but is very much still open 😁

Today our after-school children are following step by step instructions on how to draw different pictures. I, too, impressed myself with my drawings 🤣

You know it's a great activity if it can appeal to many different ages with a whole variety of learning. Something as simple as oats and containers not only provides sensory exploration,- you can see mark making, fine motor development, language development and even social sharing skills (to name a few)

As long as you don't mind a little mess of course 🤣 we are trying hard to keep it in the blanket!
