My daughter attends a home education group at Hinchingbrooke Country Park, so we make the most of it and stay and play whilst she's there.
The children have loved running around, lots of teamwork and critical thinking whilst building a dam. Lots of exploring and noticing the changes from the last time we were here in July. No big wildflowers, leaves changing colour and covering the ground. Autumn is coming! 🍂

We are so lucky to have this beautiful, free flow space now. A place for the children to play outdoors, but also have a place indoors for the coming cold months. We're still working on making it lovely and cosy for the winter, but the children have loved it today.
We had freshly picked melon today, it doesn't get any better than that! 🥰

What a lovely week we've had! Lots of exploring through play, and learning more about the changes of seasons. Our favourite book this month is The Leaf Thief. The children have absolutely loved it.
We visited the Cathedral to see the lovely sea creatures and spent lots of time at our community gardens, cooking on our fire, yummy cakes inside oranges!
We welcomed our new muckyfeet member and the children have made me so proud with how they've helped make her feel right at home. She has definitely made friends with Luna, the settings dog. My heart is full. 💚

Beating the heat this week! Today we visited our local historical site. Great fun in this weather, Luna dog certainly approved! 💚
We even found a happy leaf! 😂

A lovely few days so far!
Yesterday we spent time at our community gardens, foraging natural treasures for our mini beast collages and then to our growing space.
Today was honing those balance skills and critical thinking through risky play climbing trees. Then off to our growing space again to water our seeds!
The best days are spent outside. 💚
