With the continued hot weather Smart Cut team’s are out carrying out essential meadow grass works around Wychavon district. These area’s have been left for habitat but as the heat wave continues they pose a potential fire risk and need to be managed to reduce the risk to the public.

Despite the lack of rain fall and grass grow over the last four weeks Smart Cut teams have still been busy working on various other works.

Wednesday we had the pleasure of a in depth guide tour of the facilities DLF Seeds UK based in Inkberrow accompanied by Wychavon council parks team.

Our visit was based on the wildflower seed production they carry out at the site in Inkberrow and surrounding areas.

It was good to see first hand the investment into wildflower seeds DLF seeds have made and that combined with expert knowledge of the staff it shows in the quality of the products they produce.

As a company we are always looking to source quality materials locally this helps reduce our carbon footprint and encourages local employment and re investment into staff and the local area.

Being a commercial grounds maintenance company, we manage a variety of biodiversity and habitat sites across the Midlands region. We are always striving to deliver the best results on biodiversity and habitat projects adjusting our approach to climate change pressures and Local Authority procedure changes.
