//Your Body is a Gift//
My question to you is…Do you love your body?
If the answer is no, I understand.
There was a time when I didn’t either.
I spent years criticising it, wishing it looked different, focusing on what I thought was wrong with it.
But over time, I learned to see my body differently.
Not as something to judge, but as a gift.
A vessel that allows me to experience this beautiful life. To walk, hug, laugh, explore, create, dance, and connect.
The sad thing is that so many of us only appreciate our bodies in hindsight, when illness comes, when injury happens, or when something changes and we realise what we had all along.
I’d love for you to get to that place before then.
If you’re struggling to love your body, try separating who you are from what your body looks like. Start seeing it as something precious that carries you through life.
One book that helped me enormously was You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. The affirmations helped me build a completely different relationship with myself.
Today, hand on heart, I can say that I love my body.
Not because it’s perfect.
Because it’s mine.
And I’m deeply grateful for everything it allows me to experience.
