🌳🪵🍂 Outdoor Club 🍂🪵🌳

An hour of bridging the gap between the unknown and the perfect amount of challenge - turning carefully managed risks into fantastic learning opportunities for the children of Pendeen ❤️.

We may be small but our facilities are EPIC!

🐓 🐐 🦆, den building, digging areas, a tyre jungle, planks, fruit trees, endless trees to explore, quiet reading gardens, climbing areas and that’s just outside!

❤️💛 T E A M P E N D E E N 2026/2027 💛❤️

Last year a group of children created a small (but amazing) Autumnal hedgehog masterpiece on the field so this year, it was time to come together and celebrate Team Pendeen with a HUGE tin mine and our school name and get everyone around it❤️💛

We are SO ready for this year and are all filled with excitement, hope, adventure, determination, courage and a love of learning 💛❤️

This is incredible, even if I am a little (or a lot) bias. Well done children and adults alike! And thank you to Mr Oldfield who visited 482 times for this photo opportunity 🤪🤣🙏🏼🤟🏽

🐔💛 Sunshine and Chickens Cuddles; The Perfect Lunchtime? 💛🐔

Have you ever had your lunch break in the sunshine, downed all your tools (hypothetical ones) and just enjoyed a cuddle with a chicken and your friends? Because let me tell you, it's THE best therapy!

If more people stopped to appreciate the world around them in the way children did, the world would certainly be a happier place. And that's just the norm at Pendeen School 🥰❤️💛

The girls were chatting about their day and also asking questions like "what's this red bit on the chickens head?". Inquisitive, curious and simply enjoying time together whilst developing communication skills and compassion for animals. What a way to spend a lunchtime!

❤️💛 W E L C O M E B A C K 💛❤️

Well, that was a wonderful first day back and a brilliant start to the Autumn term! 🍂

We all know how the first day back brings butterflies in tummys (adults included!), we wonder how we'll sit and listen without dreaming about ice cream at the beach and by 1030am we're all asking if it's lunchtime yet... (or are those things just me!?) 🫣🤣 BUT Team Pendeen showed up with a smile, a smart uniform and an "even if I am really tired I'm going to give today my all" positive attitude and THAT is all we ask for and is exactly why you guys are simply fabulous! 🤩

We welcomed lots of new children on board in EVERY class ~ so many that Mr S had to keep recounting! We couldn't be happier or more proud to have so many families choose Pendeen to be the foundation of learning for their children (what an honour!) 🙏🏼

And you know what? Although we all feel exhausted tonight (it's been a while since we've had to make more decisions than whether we're having mint choc chip or caramel fudge), we all can't wait to see you again in the morning, knowing that we'll have another lovely day together with more adventures to come! 🤗

So, with that being said, shall we do that again tomorrow? ❤️💛

The last Solar Eclipse was in 1999 and the next one isn't predicted until 2090 so if you can, make a special memory with your family this evening from around 6pm (ish ~ I think the Moon works on Cornish time).

Stay safe wherever you are & remember not to look directly at the sun BUT there are loads of cool ways to see it happening with a bit of creativity and even just being there in the moment is special enough!
