The Summer holidays are fast approaching!

The school & ELCC will close for the holidays on Friday 27th June and will reopen to pupils on Monday 18th August.

Doors to the ELCC will open at 12:30pm on Friday 27th June and School will close at 1pm.

A huge well done to Mr McLaughlin and Mr McKechnie who completed the Alloa Half Marathon yesterday. Both finished in under 2 hours!!!! Well done to both of you 🏅🏅

World Book Day Reminder - Tomorrow (Thursday 6th March 2025)

Yes it’s that time of year again! As always, we are happy for children to dress up as a character from a book if they would like to but this is not something they have to do.

If you are struggling to think of a costume for World Book Day, or maybe your child has grown out of theirs, you might like this idea:

Dress Up As A Word- your child could wear something of their choice eg a glittery dress- the word they are dressing up as could be “sparkly” or a knitted jumper and the word could be “cosy” or “woolly”. This is an inexpensive and fun way to take part without going the whole hog.

Miss Blackett has organised some fun activities for everyone to enjoy on Thursday.

Of course, you may decide to just have your child come to school in their uniform as normal- last year not everyone dressed up so it’s up to you.

February Weekend Reminder

The School & ELCC will be closed for the February weekend tomorrow (in-service day for staff only), Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th February. Staff and pupils will return to School & ELCC on Wednesday 19th February.

Red Weather Warning- Schools and nurseries

Due to severe weather, all schools and council-run nurseries will be closed on Friday 24 January 2025.

They will continue to run as normal today.

Schools will contact parents and carers directly with any school specific information for your child, if required.

Out-of-school care that operates in a school building will not be able to take place.

If you normally receive a free school meal payment during the holiday periods, you will receive a payment for Friday 24 January 2025 as part of the next payment.

Schools and nurseries will re-open as normal on Monday 27 January 2025.
