Happy women's international day πΈπ»π
Did you know there are differences between men and women when it comes to cardiac arrest and the help they receive?
Research shows:
πΉ Men are more likely to experience cardiac arrest overall.
πΉ Women are more likely to collapse at home.
πΉ Women are less likely to receive CPR from a bystander.
πΉ Public defibrillators are used less often on women before the ambulance arrives.
πΉ Survival rates are generally lower for women.
Every minute counts in a cardiac arrest. Thatβs why itβs so important that everyone feels confident to act, no matter who needs help.
Learning CPR and knowing how to use a defibrillator could help save a life β€οΈ
