Several of our Year 11 students visited the UK University Search event at the AMEX Stadium in Brighton, taking an important step towards exploring their future options.

It was fantastic to see students engaging with exhibitors from a wide range of universities, discovering different courses and opportunities, and asking those all-important questions about Uni life.

With so many pathways available, events like this provide a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their horizons, gather information and start thinking about the next steps in their educational journey.

A great experience to help our students feel more informed, confident and inspired about their future!

A huge well done to our Year 7 B team who secured their second win of the season against a strong Imberhorne side!

Trailing 1-0 at half-time, Oxted came out fighting in the second half. Bobby’s cross evaded everyone and found its way into the net to level the score, before Frankie smashed home a superb winner from the edge of the box with just four minutes remaining!

A group of our Year 9 students recently attended the annual Innovation Academy at Brooklands Museum, joining over 400 students from across the region for a day packed with inspiration and hands-on learning.

Despite the rainy weather, students enjoyed a fantastic programme of talks and workshops. The day began with an inspiring keynote from Dr Nash Vracas, who shared her exciting career journey across a variety of STEM fields.

Students then had the opportunity to hear from Concorde pilot John Tye and Captain Francesca Field, who spoke about their remarkable aviation careers and encouraged young people to consider the many opportunities available within the industry.

The day also included workshops delivered by The Heritage Skills Academy, Nescot College, and Lab22, as well as a fascinating talk from renowned science communicator Dr Simon Singh.

It was an incredibly inspiring day, showcasing the wide range of opportunities available in STEM and helping our students to think about their future aspirations.

A huge thank you to Fran, Richard and everyone involved in organising another outstanding event, and for the ever popular goodie bags!

A huge well done and thank you to everyone who baked and brought at our MacMillan bake sale last Friday. The range of cakes was absolutely incredible to see showcasing all of our house colours in Oxted school. In total we raised £418 in cash alone, this is without all the card transactions!

The winning house was judge to be Detillens with their huge range of cakes and the over all winners being Imogen and Amelie Ford whose cake with gingerbread house and slogan stole the show. Huge conghratulations to Detillens house who also came second in terms of cash raised.

In second place Stocketts house with Betsy W in year 8 baking a purple masterpiece and many cakes displaying the Stocketts logo. This made them truly stand out with their Stocketts stag pride of place.

Foyles took a third place for baking but came first for over £100 cash raised. Ethan M in year 9 baked a very impressive white chocolate creation with the Foyles logo at the centre.

Joint fourth position Grants and Tenchleys. Huge shout out to Noah M 7G1 whose Grants cake complete with bunting was a showstopper on the grants table and Harry L 8T1 whose Tennchleys bear was the stand out!

Once again a huge thank you to those who baked, brought or served. The main hall was full and the commitment to such a worthy cause was clear to see. Any tubs or boxes are in the main hall ready to be collected by our master bakers.

A massive thank you to who donated some amazing cakes which helped us raise for such a worthy cause!
