Today on International Dog Day we’re celebrating some very special members of the Limpsfield Grange community - our dogs! 🐶💛

We’re lucky to have a number of staff dogs who regularly spend time in school and have become a much-loved part of life at The Grange.

For many of our students, spending time with a dog can provide a calming presence, helping them to regulate emotions, manage anxiety and feel more settled in the classroom. Dog walking at break times is also a popular reward and a lovely opportunity to get outside, reset and enjoy some four-legged company.

They may not officially be on the staff list, but the contribution they make to school life is very real. 🐾

So, on International Dog Day, here’s to our wonderful Grange dogs - and all the wagging tails, walks and moments of calm they bring to our school community.

Residential life at Limpsfield Grange is about so much more than simply staying at school.

It’s a place to spend time with friends, develop independence, try new things, learn new life skills and importantly, feel at home.

These photographs are just a small snapshot of the everyday residential experience - relaxed, supportive, purposeful and full of personality.

Just some of the many reasons why Residential was awarded OUTSTANDING in its last Ofsted inspection.

What does autism in girls really look like?
It’s not always obvious and it doesn’t always fit the stereotypes.

Here we look at the often unseen, misunderstood, and beautifully individual ways autism can present in girls - from masking and social differences to imagination, sensory needs, and what truly helps.

Because when we understand better, we support better.

🐞 A tiny visitor, making a big impression. 🌸

Miss Grant is not only a fabulous art teacher ... it turns out she has green fingers too! Her wonderful wildlife garden, surrounding our Art Block, is not only a beautiful source of creative inspiration for our students, but also a thriving habitat for nature.

This summer, we've been delighted to spot hundreds of ladybirds amongst the flowers, giving our students the chance to connect with wildlife right on our school grounds.

Outdoor learning, creativity and nature go hand in hand at Limpsfield Grange, helping our students explore, observe and be inspired every day.

🌿🍃 Year 10 have been investigating plants and photosynthesis by exploring the fascinating structure of a leaf!

To help deepen their understanding, students designed and built 3D models of a leaf, carefully labelling each layer and explaining how it is adapted to carry out its role in photosynthesis. From the waxy cuticle to the palisade cells and stomata, every part plays an important role in helping plants make their own food.
