⬆️ Pedrito Vaz Soares. Talent, potential, and coachability are off the charts and we can’t wait to see how he continues to develop!
🧷 Darian Hassani. The biggest joker at the club and a fairly clear winner when the players voted. Always laughing, always winding people up, always Darian. Never change habibi!

🧤Darian Hassani for his brilliant double penalty save vs Oxford Irish in the Quarter Final of the Cup.

RESULT.
We end the season with an away defeat to the league champions.
We can take many positives from the performance as we created some brilliant chances in the first half, and perhaps on another day, we would’ve been leading at half time.
Unfortunately that wasn’t the case as showed why they are where they are with some clinical finishing when opportunities presented themselves.
was a rock at the back, and we have seen so much improvement in his game over the past few months. He was at the heart of everything good for Phoenix and we look forward to continue seeing him develop.
Another highlight for Phoenix was Alpha Breezy Kamara’s third goal for the club in his second game as he latched onto a long ball before finishing expertly past the onrushing keeper.

Oxford Phoenix lose out in the Ivor Gubbins Cup Final in heartbreaking fashion as we concede a scrappy last minute goal with seconds remaining.
Phoenix can be very proud of their performance, but we just lacked experience to see the game out with extra time looming and fresher legs available.
Phoenix started slowly but were defensively resolute in the opening 30 minutes, but went behind after Chesterton scored from a free kick.
This galvanised our young Phoenix side as they started to create chances, with and Joshua Warburton going close before the break.
Half time gave Phoenix the opportunity to remind the players of how far we’ve come and what we had to do to win the game.
Then Phoenix took control with a flurry of chances with , , .sud, and all going close to equalising.
A free kick perfectly found the head of who expertly headed home from 10 yards, only for a very late linesman’s flag to disallow the goal.
Undeterred, Phoenix kept pushing. Another set piece, this time a corner, looped over the Chesterton keeper and was headed in on the line by to level the game at 1-1 with 20 minutes left.
Phoenix continued pushing and a good save denied from 25 yards.
Chesterton thought they’d on it as their winger squared it for their onrushing midfielder to tap home, but Phoenix went up the other end and made it 2-2. A brilliant ball from Joshua Warburton freed who rounded the keeper before finishing in the far corner.
It became a basketball game at this point with both teams trying desperately to win the game in 90 minutes. And unfortunately, it was Chesterton who won it after a ball into the box wasn’t cleared and bounced around the box before being smashed home.
We may not have won the cup, but at least we won the hearts 🧡
This is just the start for Phoenix. Most of our squad are between the ages of 16-20 years old. So our time will come again.
Thank you to everyone who came down to support 🧡 a crowd of over 200 is incredible at this level!

RESULT.
Phoenix get the three points on the road.
Phoenix started strongly and created a number of chances in the first half but were missing that clinical edge.
Defensively we were solid throughout the first 45, but we went into the break level at 0-0.
5 minutes into the second half, a ball from midfield found who laid the ball off for who rounded the keeper before finishing from 15 yards.
Phoenix continued to spurn a number of chances to extend the lead, but .mohebbi1660 had to be alert to stop Bicester Park from equalising with three really good saves.
danced through the Bicester defence before being brought down just inside the box. He dusted himself off, and coolly scored the resulting penalty for 2-0.
The Bicester Park keeper continued to make some good saves and denied from 25 yards as his effort looked destined for the top corner.
’s lung busting run from left back ended with a Bicester Park player fouling him as he broke into the area. The referee decided it was a free kick and not a penalty. But it wasn’t to matter as curled the ball around the wall and into the top corner from the set piece for 3-0.
Bicester Park pulled one back with one minute to go which was harsh on goalkeeper .mohebbi1660 who deserved a clean sheet.
