Playing it safe is not going to change anything in your life and business

This is the point where I was in January 2021

Just after the pandemic

I felt such an optimism during the pandemic like things are going bad out in the world but that God was going to use that for my good

But the year passed and nothing changed in my business

❌I didn't make more money

❌I didn't have more clients and more impact

❌I still felt tied to my business that even when I was spending time with my family I was still thinking about my business and why it wasn't working

❌I didn't have freedom or peace about what I was creating

❌It felt like nothing was working

Even when I felt like I was 'doing' everything

That's when I decided enough was enough

I saw a fellow Christian mama on IG doing the Daniel 21 Day fast

I never did a long fast before but I felt I needed to hear from God about my business

I didn't know if I could make it but I wanted to try

I completed the fast and God spoke to me so clearly

He said nothing would change until I changed

I needed to stop thinking that I knew it all, that everything was working against me, the doubts and fears about who I was were all lies

What I needed was support in doing the right work, actually DO THE WORK and stop complaining that it wasn't working

About that same time the Lord sent me a life coach and I worked with her for the next 6 months. That time went by so fast but I learned so much.

All because I choose to make that big scary move of seeking God more and then being obedient with the steps he was taking me through

When I finally got pregnant in 2018 I acknowledged I had major fears around childbirth and pregnancy but I also knew there was another way

I didn't want to spend hours in painful labour

I didn't want to have a horrible sick pregnancy

So I took the steps that I needed to make that outcome NOT become my reality

I did a Hypnobirthing program that taught me how to turn my fears into joyful positive hopes for me and my baby

I went on to give birth naturally in just 3 hours, it was miraculously amazing and my pregnancy was beautiful!!!

I would never claim to be a big tech person

I don't particularly like too much structure I am a more spontaneous person

So excel sheets and a strict plan are really challenging for me

I remember when my husband and I traveled before we had kids

I'd plan our trips so that each day we'd have something to do maybe an organized trip maybe a fun activity but I also always leave room for spontaneous fun and adventure

I find that's the best way to really enjoy life and live in the moment

It makes you want to show up and have fun

Your job is to have radical fearless courageous faith that it will happen

It's only a matter of time

I will never forget the day I got my driver's license in Germany

It was a miracle I experienced and I will always be amazed by the power of my God

In 2013 after getting married in our beautiful Caribbean island

I moved to live with my husband in Germany

It so happened that the month after I arrived he was deployed to Afghanistan for the next 6 months!

Here I was all alone in a country that didn't speak English on my own

I was terrified but I also knew that God brought me there so he got me

I had my driver's license since I was 18 at home

Driving only automatic, (ain't nobody have time for that shift gear nonsense)

But my international license only allowed me to drive with it for 6 months in the country

I was going to be there for 2 years and the Lord had blessed me with a job!

I decided I need to get my German license

Found out I had to do both the theory and the practical test

I passed the theory 💯

Then the practical was going to be done with a German older instructor who didn't speak English

In an old long Mercedes car because that's the only automatic vehicle the driving school had

I was scared, everyone who had taken their practical test at my job had failed but I decided failure was not an option for me

I had to have that license to drive to work

It had to happen

I remember praying,.God I don't know how this is going to work but I trust you

I heard in my spirit to remember left and right in German

Those 2 words only

I said a prayer and got behind the wheels

During the entire test I kept listening for those 2 words and did as I was told

Turned right or turned left

Then he said STOP

Looking in the rearview as he was sitting in the backseat he said something in German that I understood to mean do a parallel park

Which I did with success

Then he said DONE

And then there was silence as he was writing

I held my breath

He tore out the paper and gave it to me and said PASS

I almost fainted with relief

Only the Lord alone knew how I passed that test

How I had such calm nerves of steel and confidence

How I was able to pass that test and the look of amazement that was on the man's face said it all

That's the glory and POWER of my God

And now whenever I feel something is impossible in my business

I go back to that radical faith that I had because I know that's when miracles happen in life

What I've learned is that this kind of faith doesn't just happen

It's intentional

It's growth, it's a decision

Because in a scientific level this is what activates and programs the subconscious mind to take the actions fearlessly and without resistance of IF it will work

One of my biggest struggles in business has been this!

I made my business an IDOL and it’s results were directly attached to how I saw myself as a person, a woman and a mom

Yep, I said it.

Since I started my business in 2017 my business was all about ME

How could I help others?
How could I use my skills and talents?
How could I be financially independent?

And while none of these things are really bad, it’s wrong when that’s all you’re consumed by and driven by daily.

I had placed so much of my self worth in my business

But when I wasn’t I felt useless and not good enough

This was not healthy and it certainly wasn't what the Lord wanted for me

I needed to be reminded DAILY that I was placed on this earth for MORE

I was a wife and a mother but somehow I still found a way to tie my business to these roles

It was keeping me stuck

I was constantly overthinking
Doubting myself
Putting all of this pressure on myself to prove something to ME

Again it was all about ME

When the Lord opened my eyes to this I bawled my eyes out and I vowed to surrender my will, plans and desires to him daily especially for business

When I step back and release everything to the Lord

I feel at peace, guided and completely FREE

I no longer need to prove anything to anyone and to myself

I was good enough and that was enough
