OFSTED update:

Health declaration received back from my GP and now sent to [email protected]

It’s been a lengthly process with DBS taking 12 weeks then Ofsted application started back in July and now the health declaration requested by all Ofsted practitioners.

We should be reassured that the checks are so thorougher with the local and national authorities working together and authorising checks.

- 2 days nannying

Continuing…
A typical day of nannying:

09.15 children’s beds stripped and washing load on.

We then head out for a walk in the neibourhood - what can we see today?

Will it be the thatcher? Postal worker? delivery courier? Doggy walker or something else.

10.30 hands washed and snack in the garden. Followed by child initiated free time (using the slide. Practicing walking, looking at nature . Kicking a ball, throwing the stick to the doggy).

11.30 story time and nursery rhymes. Puzzles or drawing.
A moment of quiet time before lunch.

Will it be a light bite or a cooked meal today?

12.00 lunchtime all together.

12.30/13.00
Quiet time or naps. Maybe a stroll in the buggy to visit the ducks.

Packing my bag for tomorrows day of nannying.

A typical day of nannying:

07.30 arrive at house and received a handover from parents. ( this could be done by voice note or a text on their commute to work).

07.40 breakfast time for child A .
( as i take my own young son the children eat together - we take along our own packed lunch, highchair seat and normally an activity for the day.

08.15 face and hands washed. Teeth brushed and into day clothes.

08.30 activity one
( depending on the child’s interests/ age and stage of development they may engage in an adult encouraged activity such as small world farm. Art and crafts. Phonics etc…

When the children are engaged I begin tidying the breakfast things away.
( I can support with laundry, loading the dishes from last nights supper etc).
