More often than not students fail to achieve their potential for various reasons:
- They study hard not smart
- They don't reflect on what the mark scheme actually wants
- They set out their mathematical working poorly
- They rush through questions they can do
- They spend too much time on questions they can't do
- They ask for help way too late
- They don't practice questions enough
- They only practice topics or question types they're comfortable with
- They don't make educated guesses and so leave questions blank
- They struggle explaining concepts
- They cannot describe how to conduct experiments correctly
- They cannot link topics together when needed
- They have forgotten the name and/or units of a quantity or the formulas linked to it
- They are unaware of how to manipulate units to find formulae
- They struggle applying methods learnt in maths to physics or are not taking maths.

This list could go on. Don't guess as to what the issues may be, and let us help identify the obstacles and tackle them. There's still time now before the final exams this year.

We couldn't end our celebrations without mentioning NASA's Planetary Defense Coordination Office and the scientists who have contributed to develop a system that in the future may prevent potential extinction events from asteroid impacts.

Remember when we started with computers that took up an entire building? The fastest switch is currently that size! These advancements may see computing power increase massively in the future allowing it to perform even more complex tasks.

Advancements in Medical Physics have contributed to last year's breakthrough in Flash Proton Therapy, which is a great step forward for cancer treatment! When teaching nuclear physics we will be sure to mention it to our students.

The JWST may help us answer the following and more:
- Where and when did the first stars form?
- What are the origins of supermassive black holes?
- How do massive stars go supernova?
- Could the most promising exoplanets harbour life?
