This week’s Pause for thought has some wonderful poetry in it and encourages us to pause and think about the beauty of creation that is all around us – even if at the moment in the midst of winter with snow on the ground we cannot see much. Take a few moments in this pause and cast your mind to the warmth and sun of spring, remember the feel of the sun on your face, the breath of warm air, the smell of fresh mown grass. Winter is all around us but it is breaking and spring is pushing through. And in the midst of what is quietly growing around us is the wonder of being alive, of life itself.

As we start another busy week with so much to do and to accomplish, here is an opportunity to stop, think and breathe with poetry by Maya Angelou, wonderful music from our choir and a thoughtful reflection from Dani Reni on putting together a desk and what the nightmare that is Ikea furniture can teach us about ‘insurmountable things’
I hope you enjoy it and if you would like to contribute a poem or a reflection to the series do be in touch
