ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH CARING

~ Our Secondary School ~
The Marches School is a vibrant learning community, comprising of a very supportive parent body, caring and forward-looking staff, energetic and thoughtful students, a proactive governing body and an ever-developing cross section of community partners. Children are placed firmly at the centre of all we do; we pride ourselves on offering a wealth

of opportunities allowing all in the learning community to experience success in many different ways and at a variety of levels. Our challenge therefore is to constantly seek out new ways to innovate from within the classroom and outside it, as we believe firmly in the need to keep moving forward, so that our young people have the best possible experiences and life opportunities | >> marchesschool.co.uk

~ Our Sixth Form ~
We also provide post-16 education through our Sixth Form, where students have access to an exceptionally high standard of learning, strong pastoral networks, and a full range of enrichment activities, in an independent and supportive environment. The Sixth Form Centre provides independence and autonomy away from the lower school | >> marchesschool.co.uk/sixth-form/about

~ Together We Grow ~
Our school is proud to be part of The Marches Academy Trust family of schools and has the shared belief that: Successful creative lifelong learners participate in a journey of self-discovery. They know how to learn, acquire skills and feel safe to take risks with confidence and courage | >> marchesacademytrust.co.uk

πŸŽ‰ GCSE Results Day 2026 πŸŽ‰

Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students collecting their GCSE results today.
This cohort has travelled a unique path, with a disrupted end to primary school and the start of their secondary education taking place during the challenges of Covid. Today marks an important milestone as they receive the grades they have worked hard to achieve and look ahead to exciting next steps in Sixth Form, college, apprenticeships and employment.

Headteacher Sally Wilmot said:
"I genuinely love results day. Seeing students open their results, celebrate with friends and families, and start getting excited about what comes next is such a privilege. We are incredibly proud of this year group and the young people they have become. Today's results reflect years of effort and commitment, and we wish them every success as they take their next steps."

Well done, Year 11. We are proud of you all and look forward to seeing what the future holds for you. 🌟

Student Story: Accessing more subject choices through Open6

Before Open6, some subjects simply weren't available at every Sixth Form.

A huge thank you to Trust alumnus and University of Birmingham PhD student Ben Fry for coming back to inspire our students with an incredible hands-on neuroscience workshop.

Experiences like this are what The Open6 Offer is all about - bringing learning to life, broadening horizons and helping young people develop the confidence and skills they'll need for the future.

Today marked an important milestone for our Year 13 students as they collected their A Level and Level 3 BTEC results and prepared for the exciting journeys ahead. πŸŽ‰

Whether progressing to university, apprenticeships, employment, specialist training or a gap year, each destination represents years of hard work, determination and personal growth.

Headteacher Sally Wilmot said:
"Results Day is always one of my favourite days of the school year because it is about people, not just grades. Behind every set of results is a story of hard work, resilience and ambition. We have seen these young people grow into confident, capable young adults, and we could not be prouder of all they have achieved."

At Marches Sixth Form, we are proud to be a close-knit community where students are known, supported and encouraged to pursue their ambitions. As the Class of 2026 moves onto its next chapter, we celebrate not only their qualifications, but also the friendships, experiences and confidence they take with them.

Congratulations to all our students. We can't wait to see what you do next. πŸ’™πŸŽ“
