Congratulations to Mr Kain who took on the Amsterdam Marathon during the October half term. The marathon was a personal best for him as he completed it in 3:55:44 which is Mr Kain's first marathon under 4 hours! You'll also notice from the photo that he is sporting our new school logo on his running top!

As part of our recent Wellbeing day the children created posters to help others stay safe online. Well done to Oscar, Freya, Olivia, Ethan, Lenny, Emily and Sophia! Their posters were selected to go on display at the front of the school.

We are pleased to introduce to you our new Reading Champions! After over 100 applications and lots of discussions between Mrs Bell (our Reading Lead) and all of the class teachers, these children were selected for their love of reading and commitment to reading at home! Their role will be to help decide any future reading events, choose books for the school as well as looking after our beautiful library! Well done guys!

The photos are in! A big thank you to Kemnal Technology College who invited Year 6 over to use their recently refurbished food technology rooms and equipment to enrich our curriculum! Year 6 had a fantastic time! The KTC pupil ambassadors were amazing and helped us immensely .
Year 6 commented that the day was excellent and they really enjoyed eating the biscuits they made after a competitive session during PE!
Kemnal also commented on how well behaved and the year group was and would like to thank them for all of the positive messages they wrote to KTC staff in their feedback.
Yesterday, Mrs Taylor and Mrs Lyon completed a 10 mile walk across London, starting at Battersea Park and finishing at Tower Bridge all in the aid of Diabetes. Well done ladies!

Today we started to welcome some of our new Nursery and Reception children as part of our phased start. We would like to give a big Gray's Farm welcome and look forward to seeing them progress through their educational journey.

The time has come to say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6's, we wish them the best of luck in their new secondary schools and want to congratulate them again on their phenomenal SATs results!

After the success of our tuck shop at Sports Day, we're going to be running one again after school tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday - or until the stock runs out!
All items will be priced between 20p and 50p and we will be selling from two separate stalls; one out on the field and one on the playground. Any money raised will be reinvested back into the school, so we'd like to thank you in advance for your support.
We are looking forward to seeing you all from 2pm for the Open afternoon today. Please enter via the main hall where all Lost Property will be available to view/collect.

Sports Day has arrived!
Drinks and snacks will be on sale throughout the morning and during the family picnic. Please remember that you can buy snacks for your children that are in school but they can only have them during the picnic. Please do not buy a drink or snack and give it to your child whilst they are taking part in their sports day events.
As all refreshment Items will only cost from 20-50p, could you please remember to bring some change with you and not notes.
Sports Day;
Just a gentle reminder regarding tomorrow's Sports Day. Can you please ensure that your child has a water bottle, hat and is wearing suncream. Thank you
Timings are as follows;
Reception & KS1 sports day - will take place between 9:05am and 10:20am
KS2 sports day - will take place between 10:40am and 12:10pm
Family picnic - 12:15pm - 1:10pm
Please note that when the picnic finishes at 1:10pm all children will return to their classrooms for their afternoon learning. We thank you in advance for your support with this and ask that you encourage your children to return to their teachers when the bell calls. There is no early finish for any year groups - usual collection times of 3:15pm and 3:20pm stand and you can collect your children from their usual doors.

Reception are having a lovely time with the little ducklings, which aren't very little anymore! The ducklings are very settled into their new home and the children love having them!

This week the children had the opportunity to look at a model wagon from Beau's (Year 3) family. Everyone loved looking at all the small details inside including a copper kettle and a fireplace. They talked about how it would have been pulled by horses. A big thank you to Beau and her family for sharing it with us!

In Year 4 during Art, the children have been exploring the work of David Hockey. David is a Digital Artist who creates landscape pictures known as 'Art Pop' by using layering. The children had a go at creating their own 'Art Pop' in the Computer Suite. They chose their background colour and the different layers their picture would have.

Reception have had special guests this week. The children have had a lovely time getting to know their new classroom friends. We have a little secret to share, the little ducklings are staying! This is all part of a long term project including revamping the pond area. Watch this space!
