To all of our dance family,

In light of the uncertainty around the coronavirus, we have decided to temporarily close WestCo’s Petts Wood until the end of April.
We will keep you updated through both Facebook and our website.
We hope everyone understands that this is purely a precaution and hope to be back dancing with you all very soon.

WestCo’s are delighted to announce that Inga Kurcisa will be joining Browly at The Browly Effect Returns to WestCo's, 27 & 28th July.

This is a duo you will not want to miss, what can we say about them?
We are lucky to have the talented Browly joining us and leading this weekend of workshops. Browly’s passion for West Coast Swing translates through his teaching and inspires his students to be thoughtful, creative dancers. His appetite for social dancing is incredible and you will find him burning up the dance floor till the small hours of the morning across Europe, both as a lead and follow.

As an extra treat for us all Browly will be joined by Inga.
Inga has been dancing since she was young and has experience in many styles of dance. Since discovering West Coast Swing, she has found a sense of freedom while dancing because of the movements the follower and leader can express.

Browly and Inga bring a shared ethos in their approach to dancing and teaching of West Coast Swing that it is about listening and responding to your partner, the music and the being in the moment. We are excited to host them both for this weekend and know you won’t want to miss this special weekend of learning and dancing.

RIP Norma Miller - Queen of Swing and Dance Legend

She mad it to 99 and was busy in recent years travelling the world, still inspiring people about dancing all these years later! If you do not know who she is, check her out on Youtube, certainly worth it.

As a child, she danced the Lindy Hop on Harlem sidewalks before becoming a Savoy Ballroom sensation and an international stage and screen star.

Been mulling this Blog post for the last few weeks.

We were leads oversubscribed for our last workshop weekend. We are Leads over in 2 out of 3 of our class nights. Yet, the most common thing I hear my Follow friends talk about is the trouble finding someone to balance them to book events?

Not sure what the cause is but pretty sure if we all dropped in to our local classes occasionally, we would help the next wave of dancers coming through and meet more people who you will then know on the social scene.

West Coast Swing is a SOCIAL DANCE, so even if you can only pop along to support the practice social at the end of an evening, please drop in when you can. Thanks
