GCSE Science and A level Chemistry tuition, from a current teacher with over 15 years of tutoring experience, a decade of classroom experience, along with examiner and UCAS interviewer experience.
I have PhD in Chemistry from Imperial College and was a published researcher for 13 years, before I decided that I felt more accomplishment from helping the undergraduate and PhD students that I taught and mentored than I did from the research itself. Since then I have retrained as a secondary school teacher, and tutored - fitting my work around the needs of my young autistic children.
I have experience of tutoring to the highest academic standards; I have tutored 3 King's/Queen's Scholars at Westminster to date and have successful medicine and Oxbridge applicants each year. I have a strong interest in personalising and streamlining study habits and am a holistic tutor who is deeply interested in the well-being of my tutees. I was a UCAS interviewer for many years and am now a UCAS referee, so am exceptionally well-placed to assist sixth-form students through the challenges of university application.
I can offer online tuition which can accommodate a broad range of attainment, motivation and ambition in my students, as well as additional needs; I have extensive experience of working with neurodivergent people from all walks of life.
I offer one reduced-fee tuition slot to a student who could not usually afford it per year; please get in touch if you would like to be considered for this in the future.
