Our Year 4 classes really enjoyed learning about the work of Marie Curie and supporting a worthwhile charity in our area!💙💛

Mrs Pollock’s Year 2 had a fantastic time on their end of year trip to Gortin Glens! We loved completing “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” trail with our guide Liz and had lots of fun re-enacting the process of becoming a butterfly before going to spot some of the forest wildlife. We then enjoyed a picnic with our friends followed by lots of time in the play park. Once we returned to school we finished off a brilliant day with an icecream🍦😊🛝🌳🦌

❤️ As the end of term approaches, we are sadly saying goodbye to two wonderful teachers from Gibson. Two superstars who have been absolutely dedicated to our school and our children during their time here. Mrs Shortt has been teaching in our Language class for 23 years and Mrs Russell has been teaching in Gibson for 33 years. We have had two very special assemblies during the last few weeks to mark their retirements and to celebrate these two fantastic ladies. We will miss you both greatly but wish you a very healthy and happy retirement from everyone at Gibson Primary School! ❤️

🌳🐛🍦Mrs Simpson’s Year 2s had lots of fun on their end of year trip to Gortin Glens! Thank you to Lynne Greer from the Forest Service for leading us on an exciting Hungry Caterpillar trail through the forest. We had lots of fun in the play park and then enjoyed a lovely ice cream from Johnny B’s ice cream van on our return to school! 🌳🐛🍦

Year 1 had a lovely morning in the sunshine on their end of year trip to ‘The Grange Park’ last week☀️🛝

They had so much fun playing at the park and finished the day with a Teddy Bears Picnic, treats & McDonalds for lunch! 🧸🍟🍭

⭐️⭐️We are so very proud of our Year 7 children who performed their final assembly today in front of their families! And what a show it was!!! 👏👏👏 We wish them well as they embark on the next part of their educational journey! 📚
Huge thanks to the canteen staff who provided a fabulous lunch for everyone and to Mrs McMullin for providing a cake! 😋
