We now have day & evening BSL courses in Oldham and Rochdale
We have 100% pass rate in BSL level one & 98% pass rate in BSL level two. Besides teaching We have set up community groups in Oldham and Derbyshire for learners to continue learning British Sign Language outside adult education centres

The qualification is with the ABC (Awarding Body Consortium)
The Award in Signing and Receiving Skills in British Sign Language is designed to develop learners' ability to communicate in the British Sign Language. The Award is divided into three units to support production Unit 1 - Signing, reception Unit 2 - Receiving, and the combination of the two before mentioned skills Unit 3 - Conversation. On successful completion of this qualification learners will also become aware of key convention of British Sign Language and Deaf Culture. Aim of the course
The aim of this course is to introduce learners to the basics of British Sign Language. Teaching begins by exploring the visual-gestural modality of human language and also some background knowledge about deaf people, their language and their culture. There is an emphasis on building vocabulary relating to a wide range of topics, including: fingerspelling, eating and drinking, transport, directions, holiday, family, hobbies and interests, work and school. The course is delivered in an informal and relaxed environment and includes a variety of teaching and learning methods to meet the needs of all learners. A wide range of teaching methods are used, such as Power Points, hand outs, group work, pair work, role-plays, games, presentations and discussions. + There is a strong emphasis on developing linguistic skills in production and reception through the use of presentations, discussions and question and answer. The Level 1 course is useful for anybody who is in regular contact with deaf people, be it through work or social life.
