🗺️ Geography beyond the classroom.

From exploring dramatic limestone landscapes in the Yorkshire Dales to investigating river processes and urban regeneration, our Geography students have been putting their learning into practice across a range of exciting field trips.

📍 Year 7 explored the spectacular scenery of Malham, visiting Janet's Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove, where they even followed in the footsteps of Harry Potter.

🌊 Year 10 headed to the River Tame to investigate river characteristics and flood risk, collecting first-hand data to support their studies. A well-earned stop for chocolate cake rounded off the day, with café staff once again praising our students' excellent behaviour.

🏙️ Year 12 visited both the Medlock Valley and Rochdale, developing essential fieldwork skills while investigating physical geography, regeneration, inequality and quality of life to support their NEA investigations.

Fieldwork is an invaluable part of studying Geography, giving pupils the opportunity to apply classroom learning, develop practical skills and experience the places they're studying first-hand.
