WILD Saturday morning 🌳Poppy joins her big brothers at Forest school and absolutely loves it! At nearly two, she’s already able to roast her own marshmallows, wood whittle using a peeler and climb confidently!!

TEMA - The East Manchester Academy.
Ages 11-16 .
Today the children played out in the rain, in the forest. There were a lot of firsts too.

The children used the Kelly kettle & contained a fire long enough to boil water to make hot chocolate 🍫 ☕️and toasted s’mores 🔥🔥
Drilled conkers for conker fights!
Played slime in the mud kitchen- never too old for slime! 👩‍🍳
And Made kindling using a bill hook 🪝

The difference in some of these children is amazing. Who would of thought it- high school kids playing out 🙌🔥🌳

This is an outdoor event.
We do have coverage in camp but we walk in and out to camp and we have been forecast heavy rain ☔️

Here at WILD we are in the early days of building a Forest School at TEMA - The East Manchester Academy.
Bringing Forest school to high school children this term is already proving invaluable to the childrens mental health.

Over the last year we have developed a forest School for children with Autism, Ages 5-17, locally in Greenfield.

Being outdoors is finally becoming popular within the Education system and more and more families are seeing great results by partaking in these holistic health sessions.

Weather appropriate clothing please - these are autumn sessions and we run all weathers including the rain 🌧 please wear old clothes and warm socks.

We provide mats and blankets but please feel to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and anything you wish to keep warm.

As these session are running in autumn/winter the dark nights will be upon us before we know it , the sessions and activities will all be centred around the fire 🔥

Refreshment including- Tea, coffee , marshmallows & s’mores
£20 per person - we have lowered the number of attendees to 8 places.
